"Welcome to my mind. Surprised you didn't recognise it." Stan explained with a smug grin as he leaned back into his armchair.
Bill's face contorted in rage upon realising what this meant. "What?! The deal's off!" He yelled, infuriated by Stanford's cheap trick and how easily he'd fallen for it.

Suddenly, the door behind him slammed shut, sending a sharp echo throughout Stan's void of a mind before it burst into burning flames.
"What the- No, no, no, no!" Bill cried as he watched the rest of the room erupt into the same flame.
"Oh yeah, you're going down, Bill. You're gettin' erased, " Stan continued, not bothering to save himself.

Bill looked around frantically, searching for any escape in the little time he had left. If his body was human, his heart would be racing, and his legs would tremble under the weight of his growing mortality. God, oh god, what to do, what to do in this situation.

"Memory gun, pretty clever, huh?" Stan continued as he tapped his temples. His calm, mocking smile filled Bill with fury. Did he not know what he was doing? Did he not understand that he was ruining his own mind?
Bill knew he didn't have much time. He had barely minutes before he was engulfled in flames and condemned to fade into the void.

In a final attempt to survive, Bill used the last of his strength to form a small portal beneath his feet, he had no idea where it would take him, but he was desperate at this point. His whole body ached as he used every last bit of strength in him, it was unusual for him to feel any kind of exhaustion, but he'd never attempted to use so much of his power at once in such a desperate manner. Plus, he didn't exactly have time to complain.

Finally, Bill managed to pull open a small, glowing gateway to god knows where.
The second the portal was large enough, he braced himself and slipped through, only hoping he'd narrowly escaped death.
