After a grueling day at work, I finally made it home, ready to whip up something to eat. My mind kept drifting back to Barbie and the intimate moment we shared after our bowling date last night. I couldn't help but smile at the memory; it had been a perfect evening.
I pulled out my phone and called her, but it went straight to voicemail. No response. I tried texting her instead, but the messages weren't going through. It's been twenty minutes, and the damn things are still marked as "not delivered."
I started talking to myself, pacing around the kitchen. "What's going on? Why isn't she picking up? Maybe her phone's dead or she's just busy. We had a great time last night—why wouldn't she be answering?"
I ran a hand through my hair, trying to shake off the worry. "Come on, Dean, don't jump to conclusions. She's probably caught up with something. Maybe she just hasn't had a chance to check her phone yet."
Despite my attempts to stay calm, I couldn't shake the unease. I kept checking my phone, hoping for some sign that she'd received my messages, but the screen remained frustratingly unchanged.
I decided to call Cam and Davion for some advice. Maybe talking it out with them would help clear my head. I explained that Barbie wasn't answering my calls and my texts weren't getting through. Their responses were predictably wild.
Cam immediately suggested, "Maybe she's been abducted by aliens. You never know with these things."
Davion chimed in, "Or maybe she's in witness protection and can't talk to you anymore. It sounds crazy, but stranger things have happened."
I tried to laugh it off, but their offbeat theories weren't helping. I started to really worry. Had I done something to upset her? Was there something I missed? My mind raced through every detail of our last interaction, and I began to feel a deep sense of regret and confusion.
Seeing how distressed I was, Cam and Davion agreed to help me figure this out. "Look, if you're down for it, you should go to her place tomorrow and see if you can get to the bottom of this," Cam offered.
Davion nodded in agreement. "Yeah, just check it out and see if everything's alright."
Their support was a relief. It was good to know I wasn't alone in this, and tomorrow might bring some much-needed clarity.
I finished my food and went to bed, but sleep didn't come easily. My mind was racing, replaying the day's events over and over. I'd been blocked on everything, and it felt like I was stumbling in the dark, trying to figure out what had gone wrong. Barbie had become really important to me, and not knowing why she'd shut me out was driving me mad.
When morning came, I grabbed my phone and saw a message from Jada. My heart sank, and a wave of fury surged through me. I couldn't contain it—I yelled out loud, cursing in frustration. Jada had to be the reason Barbie blocked me. I couldn't see any other explanation.
