"TIME TO EAT!"

Is what Laios would've said if he and his party members didn't mysteriously lose consciousness.

They stood up from the ground, the cold stone floor replaced by what felt like fabric perhaps, their surroundings pitch black sending some to a panic while others brought their guards up, I hope there aren't any monsters here, everyone thought except for Laios of course. The room brightened up, revealing the enormous room they were in, red walls and black carpet all over the floor. Worst of all, their food had vanished!

"Where are we!? Marcile said and noticed something else as well, "There's so much mana here, it's like the Golden castle village"

"Ugh! Be quite" Chilchuck cuffed his ears with his hands, blocking out all their worried voices.

Izutsumi checks herself making sure that didn't happen again. "Maybe it's the mad mage rearranging the dungeon?" Laios replied.

"I'm sorry none of you got to finish your meals" Said Senshi solemnly. Laios smiled. "It's fine, there might be monsters here to eat as well after all". Laios looked across, a surprised smile on his face as he saw familiar faces, and some less so.

"KABRU!" Laios ran through the room's centre. Yes, I can tell them about our plan to eat(save) my sister!, though he slightly stopped seeing Shuro among them as well.

It's Laios and his party Kabru thought, based on their reactions they didn't seem to have any idea where this was either. He can also see Toshiro's party, his own party, and plenty of others.
"It's so good to see you, Laios!", he said.

"How'd you end up here?" Asked Laios
"I don't know either, that's our only clue," Kabru pointed at the large black empty painting frame with seats In front of it. What caught Kabru's eye was the strange text engraved on it.

"This shall show your past, present, and future, 'Dungeon meshi'." Kabru read aloud.

"What's a 'meshi'?" Laios asked, Kabru shrugged as they were interrupted by another voice.
"We don't have a reason to trust it though, it could be a trick by this dungeon's lord" Mithrun plainly stated as Laios's eyes darted somewhere else farther away.

Mithrun's right Kabru thought, We should focus on escaping so we can head to the mad mage's location already

"Well about that..."
Laios stumbled as he spoke, revealing the Mad mage himself seated in a corner, eyes closed.

Mithrun gritted his teeth, grabbing the other elf's shoulders. "YOU, where are the tomes?!" He shouted as he shook the mage around, waking him for answers.

"Red dragon don't- Ugh!? Get off me you..." Thistle grumbled before his vision cleared.

Kabru put his hand on Mithrun's shoulder, the elf melo downed if only slightly as he saw the mage tied to a seat.

"YOU, RELEASE ME! DAMN INTRUDERS!!"
Thistle yelled with hate, swinging his legs around reminiscent of a child's tantrums. Dammit, why can't I use magic here?!

Really, it was this easy? This had to be a trap Kabru thought, Having a stupefied face. "If it isn't the mad mage's doing, then it must've been The █████'s" Mithrun said.

"the what?" Asked both Laios and Thistle, though the latter sounded much more angry.

"The █████ who gave you power over this dungeon?" answered Kabru, who seemed to have realised something.

Does he mean the Lion? "That isn't possible I sealed him away" Complained Thistle

"I'll deal with him, Sir Laios," Yaad said, Although he sweated once he turned to face Thistle. He was also accompanied by some other villagers as well.

"Thanks, Yaad"
Laios continued walking along the many rows of seats, wondering what this place was for until he stopped. "F-"

"FALIN!"

The elf spoke and happily pounced at the chimaera into a hug. Laios was worried that Falin still might not be 'Falin' like when they first met her as a chimaera, but those worries soon disappeared.

"Brother?" Falin spoke excitedly while she hugged Marcile. "I've missed you two so much." Falin smiled with warmth, seemingly back to normal, at least mentally. Laios hugged Falin too, although Marcile was definitely hugging more of the chimaera than he was. Shuro listened from far away, unsure how to approach her after all this time.

"Wait Falin how are you fitting in that seat- wait... I can't believe it!" Laios spoke excitedly as he saw that Falin's dragon half was in a hole several meters deep.
"It's surprisingly comfy", Falin reassured.

Kabru read more of the texts written on the painting's frame. "It says once we all sit down on those seats that it'll show us the past, present, and future." Seemingly with no other choice, they all started heading to their seats.

"Come on Mithrun let's-" Kabru saw Mithrun had been sitting down the entire time. I can't with this guy!

Rin went to sit on Kabru's right since an elf already took the man's left, but Laios sat there instead wanting to sit next to a 'fellow monster enjoyer'.

All of a sudden, new people entered the room, both were tall-men and one resembled an older harrier Laios. Both siblings were baffled, but Laios became uncomfy.
"Laios, Falin?!" Both parents seemed worried about where in the world they were now at but were glad to see their children after so long.

"Your parents?!" Marcile asked Falin, The chimaera nodded. Marcile frantically tried to cover Falin's feathery body with her shawl and other miscellaneous cloths she happened to have.

"You must be Marcile, my daughter wrote a lot about you in letters", said the father.

"Wh- uh... she did?" a noticeable smile crept up the elf's face yet she restrained it, unsure how to act. They were her gir- best friend's parents after all but Laios painted quite a bad image of them especially with their complaysansy with their village's bullying of their own daughter.

As the husband and wife sat down, there was a noticeable change in Laios's demeanour which caught Kabru's blue eyes as he sat far away from the blond.

The painting in front of everyone then glowed a bright white, causing some to close their eyes. Is it a living painting? Laios thought curiously.

Was it really going to show us our past, present, and future? Most grew tense from the thought. Meanwhile both siblings's foreheads dripped with sweat looking at their parents. Crap, we forgot to tell them what that was didn't we? Marcile, realising the same thing, tries to speak up but she's interrupted by a voice emanating from the canvas. "The painting talks!" Laios said aloud.

On the other hand, Kabru quickly realised it was some sort of narration. Will it show our lives as a story of all things? He was slightly displeased by the idea.

Everyone watched the 'canvas' intently.
