The Insecurities Beneath The Skin

Chapter 1

It has been a few months since Linus came back to the island. Everything has been going great. The children love him, and so does Arthur. Everyone was happy until one day.

It was Lucy's birthday and everyone was eating and laughing and arthur and linus were dancing. They were eating a delicious meal that Zoe created for the family.

Hours had passed and it was time to put the kids to bed. Arthur and Linus said their goodnight to the children, tucking them in and giving them forehead kisses. After putting Lucy to bed, Arthur got ready for bed and linus went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. As soon as he got in he took one look at himself and realized how much weight he has gained. His pajamas are tighter around his body then they were before, and his hair looked more thinner than before, and before he could stop himself from thinking anymore he remembered all the times he's been called overweight or how fat he was, or how he shouldn't eat so much because he doesn't need all of it. His thoughts then went to Arthur. His dear, lovely, handsome Arthur. How can someone so fit and hot love someone like him. A man who has a spare tire around his waist, a man who is so fat and ugly. Linus supposed he was in there for a while because Arthur came and knocked on the door.

"Linus dear are you alright in there?"

He just stared at himself in the mirror trying to sound calm.

"Yes Arthur I'm okay. I'll be out in a minute"

He heard Arthur walk away from the door and then quickly brushed his teeth and got out the bathroom and went to his and Arthur's shared room.

Arthur was sitting in bed, a book in his hand like usual. He then looked up from his book to look at linus and his expression changed from calm to slightly worried.

"You okay darling? You seem a little down."

Linus layed down on the bed, tensing ever so slightly as his weight made him sink down into the bed mattress.

"Yeah I'm okay. Just a little tired"

"If you say so love."

Linus was glad his boyfriend had dropped it but he knew that Arthur is still worried about him. As linus layed and was stuck in his thought he didn't realize Arthur shifting to put his book away and turn the lights on. He also didn't realize that Arthur and wrapped an arms around Linus' belly and had snuggled his face into Linus' back. He hadn't notice until Arthur had fallen asleep and started to snore.

"His arm can't even wrap around me fully." Linus thought when he snapped out of it and started to drift off to sleep until he fully fell asleep
