In a small town, known for it's magical heritage, there lived a great sorcerer, with his wife and daughter. While this great sorcerer sat in his study; Blake, his daughter, is sitting in her room one day, studying her magic. Her biggest hope was that she would someday be accepted into the notorious Magic School.
All her life she had been dreaming of going there, following in her father's footsteps, wanting to make him proud. She knew she could do it, she just needed the chance.

Suddenly, a knock at the door breaks her focus. She stops her practicing as she listens for her mother, who was answering it.
Her mother approached the door to see a letter float into her hand.
After a few moments, she called everyone into the sitting room.
Blake rushes down the stairs, "This must be it" she thinks to herself excitedly. As Blake and her father enter the room, her mother glanced at them both then back at the letter. Clearing her throat, she read it aloud, "we cordially invite Blake Kenning to join us at Magic School. Please arrive in 5 days with the following school books..."
Blake is listening in pure excitement as her mother lists the books, even her father is smiling. However, her mother can't help but worry but deep inside she knows it will do Blake some good in helping her control her other powers.

Over the course of the next few days, Blake happily packed up her stuff, debating whether to take a grey sweatshirt or her blue one, debating whether to take her sneakers or boots, and whether to take her art book or save room for her school books.
Deciding on the latter, her and her mother then go to the local magical tomes store, looking for the necessary books, and soon enough Blake was completely ready. The day finally arrived, everyone was up at the crack of dawn, breakfast made, hair and bodies washed, everyone presentable. A small noise was heard outside and Blake's mother went to check what it was. She gasped, "it's here!" And they all ran to the door, where they saw a bright silver carriage outside of their house.  Blake puts her suitcase into the carriage before turning back, realising she won't see her parents for a while now. They all embraced each other in a long hug. As her father stepped back, her mother stayed. "please be careful Blake.. you know your magic can be a bit overwhelming sometimes." She said, a little shaky and concerned. Blake nods, understanding her worry. She'd be lying if she said she didn't have the same worry.  As she gets into the carriage herself, she looks back at her parents, waving at them as the carriage lifted into the air and flew into the sky. As she glided through the clouds, she nervously played around with a small, bloody fluid looking line, looping through her fingers. She can see the school now, bright on one half of it, dark on the other half. She looks back down at her hands to see red and black lines forming on them, and with a swish, they were gone along with the line of bloody fluid. She sighs, knowing she needs to be careful.
