He fell from heaven
Met him when i was so broken.
With all those broken golden wings
I couldn't help but end up crying.
He promised me he'd stay
Smile crept on my lips as i pray
Dear Lord, he's the only one i want
Am i even allowed to hope for this one?
Semper was his name
Kinda cute and lame?
No, he's actually my always
That one from my prayers.
When I'd ask him to stay
“Always”, he'd say.
He asked me to love him
I gave him my everything
That's my greatest sin
Semper fell from heaven
While i fell harder for him.
He was my safe haven,
My light when life was dull and dim.
Everything was perfect
Even when i was kept a secret
He's crazy in love with her.
My heart began to shatter.
You promised you'd stay faithful.
You said your love will not wither
My fallen angel, Semper
How come loving you was this painful?
Semper fidelis– he said like an oath
Always faithful, that's what it means
Loving him forever was my only hope
Yet it wasn't given, it wasn't for me it seems.
He's always been my Semper
My only constant, my always
Semper fidelis–always faithful.
