Andrew POV:

Three days have passed since that interaction with Kevin and Marcus. Turns out Kevin did find me and Marcus also knows I have a kid. I need to move again. I can't lose Liam. Talking about Liam. I don't know what's wrong with him, his behavior is bad but again good? I don't know. He puts on an all-good act for my dad but when it comes to me he just doesn't care.

The elevator doors open. Okay, Andrew just smile and work. I have to do good today, and tomorrow, and the next day. I have to keep doing good.

I went to my desk and shockingly my stuff wasn't there. What the hell? My coworker came up to me. "I was just looking for you! So, the CEO positioned you to be his personal assistant! Must be nice, you're getting higher pay, not to mention his looks! Phew!" She smiled excitedly.

Absolutely fucking not.

I went back into the elevator and pressed it to Kevin's office. Everything was going well. Why'd you have to come back?! The elevator dinged.

I knocked on his door. No response. I knocked again. "Come in!" He yelled.

I opened the door and analyzed Kevin's emotions. He looks tired and frustrated.

"Oh, it's you. You must have gotten the news." He chuckled under his breath.

"Kevin, stop putting on an act. I know it's you. I saw your brother last time. It's me, Andrew." I said.

He screwed his face me, "Okay? So? Do you think I'm here to play love games? I came here for a business. You were just a high school love. It's not like we got married." Kevin scoffed.

"Also it's not Kevin to you. It's Mr . Lee. Come correct when it comes to my name." He added.

For some reason, my heart aches to hear those words.

"Mr . Lee, I don't think I can work for you as an everyday personal assistant. I have my own problems outside of work." I pleaded.

Kevin scoffed, "You think I care? Either this or get fired." He turned his back on me making the atmosphere almost impossible to bare.

"I understand." I sighed giving up in defeat. Knowing how Kevin acts, things are going to be a lot harder now. I can only hope from here.

"For your first task, drive me to the coffee shop," Kevin said with a sly smirk.

——
10 minutes:

We arrived at the coffee shop while Kevin was taking his sweet time ordering. "Aye, pay attention. Usually, I don't go with you I'm just showing you what to get for the future."

"Yes sir," I said.

I paid close attention, but I already knew. I been knew, Kevin had a sweet tooth and he knows I know.

My attention span was suddenly snapped off by my phone ringing. I took my phone out of my pocket and it was Liam's daycare. I answered. "Hello?" I said with a hint of worry.

The teacher went on about Liam's behavior. "I'm so sorry, but I can't pick him up at this moment." I sheepishly told.

"I understand...Yes...Right..Okay, I'll come immediately." I sighed in defeat.

I hung up the phone and turned back at Kevin. He had a suspicious yet curious look, "I have to go pick up my son if that's okay with you." I quaked.

He smacked his teeth, "What type of secretary is this?! How am I going to get back to work if we drove in your car? Honestly are you stupid?" Kevin gritted.
