Ilang taon na ang lumipas at bawat taon ay punong-puno ng paniniwala na unti-unti ko nang nakakamit ang pangarap ko maging isang musikero sa tulong ni Miguel.

I graduated college with flying colors. That was one of the dreams I had achieved. All the hardships, endurance, and determination to finish school have brought me to this point of my life. I'm free and ready to face the path to achieve what I've long kept hidden inside me: my dream to be that pop star, the singer—that girl who can influence the world with her passion for music.

I wouldn't have been able to do all that if it weren't for Miguel.

"Uy, tell us naman how Florence started. Ano ang inspirasyon ni Florence to pursue music despite being a scholar ng bayan?" tanong ng interviewer ng music show na naimbitahan ako para mag-perform para sa kanilang 'top hits of the week'.

"Ah, sure po. Actually, Florence wouldn't exist if no one believed in her," I began to share in front of the host.

"Ohhh, would you mind—tell us naman, sino ba ang lucky one na nagtulak sayo to enter into the music industry?" hirit ng host.

Malakas na kantyawan naman ang naging reaksyon ng mga audiences na nasa loob ng studio.

I reminisced about every memory with Miguel. How happy we were while writing music and producing it with admiration and dreams. I couldn't help but smile, which only made the audience cheer even louder.

"My boyfriend po." After I said it, the crowd screamed, and some even giggled. I felt shy, so I covered my face with my hand to hide my embarrassment. I could feel my face turning red in front of the camera.

"Drop naman diyan, oh—sino nagpapatibok ng puso ni Florence?"

"Miguel. He was also a musician. Actually, you can check out their songs. One of the reasons I fell in love with him in the first place. They were so famous during my college days. Then, me as a scholar, hindi ako mahilig sa mga fangirling-fangirling na 'yan, kaya wala akong alam sa banda nila noon," it came out naturally, and while saying those words I could feel my heart beating slowly but loudly, screaming his name and overflowing with happiness because without him, I wouldn't have been able to achieve my dreams of being an artist. I owe everything to him. He is the most important person who has ever happened in my life.

"But nung narinig ko po siya for the first time..." I paused for a moment and found myself smiling, recalling that moment when I saw his first performance with my friends.

"Ang cool niya, ang angas, ang pogi, at ang ganda ng boses. Lahat ng 'yon nasabi ko sa utak ko."

[People teasing while also cheering]

"Sobrang natural niya. 'Yung akala kong isang beses lang ay naulit hanggang sa hinanap-hanap ko na siya. I ended up fangirling over him..."

"To cut the story short, he asked to court me. Ilang months rin 'yun tapos when I answered him, he found out that I also loved music and persuaded me to do music again—so I did."
