Ughhhh... ...my head....

I burrow my head deeper into my pillow, trying to drown out the thumping in my ears. Why did I drink so much brandy on an empty stomach?

The headache I have is the worst I have ever had, like my head has broken into many pieces and been put back together by a blind Kobold. My body feels as if it has been trampled by a herd of Rothe beasts.

The flap of my tent is suddenly thrown open and the morning sun floods in. "Noooo...." I groan, as the bright light stabs my eyes. I throw my blanket over my head in an attempt to block it out.

"Well good morning to you too" comes Tav's cheery reply - which is far too loud and cheery for my ears right now.

"I just wanted to let you know that we are going to scout out a ruined town to the north of here. Apparently it has been over taken by goblins. We are going to see if they are the ones who have taken the druid Halsin." She explains as she crouches down beside me.

"Wyll is going to stay here with you, to give his shoulder a bit more of a chance to recover. Plus we thought you might want to avoid a few certain people after last night..."

Oh gods!

The previous evenings events return back to me; me chugging half a bottle of strong elven brandy, me believing there was little dancing people in the fire, then feeling up Astarion's legs while I gazed at him like a love sick puppy! Me laughing at Lae'zel and very nearly invoking her wrath. My uncontrollable giggles.

I suck in a breath.

The lust I felt when he closed the distance between us in my tent. How the air hung heavy with expectation.
The crushing disappointment when he turned and walked away.

"Ohhhh.. hells!" I groan loudly, my face luckily still hidden under my blanket. How was I ever going to face them?!

Tav lets out one of her musical laughs and pulls the blanket off me. I wince at the sudden light and try to give her a scowl, but it comes off more like a grimace.

"I just need to see your head before we leave and make sure you didn't pull out any of your stitches last night. I don't know what you were dreaming about but you were tossing around and talking away in your sleep!" She remarks, with a wide grin on her face, she she examines my wound.

Oh my god, it just gets worse!

Tav laughs again at the expression of dismay on my face before she puts a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Delirious Tamara is a good laugh I gotta say. But don't worry too much about it, everyone will have forgotten in time."

She gives my shoulder one last squeeze before standing up and heading back to the tent flap.

"I've put some water just inside here, make sure you stay hydrated or that hangover will much feel worse"

With that she throws open the flap again and leaves my tent, I listen to the sound of her footsteps become fainter, before pulling my pillow over my face.

I wonder if I could just stay here in my tent forever?

Please ground, swallow me up now!

Some time later, I awake to find the incessant throbbing in my head has decreased some what, but my mouth feels parched and dryer than a desert.
