I'm sitting in my apartment eating breakfast looking out my window and I see that the clock tower has moved so I get dressed and I get dressed for my day. *** "It's good to see his smile back." I hear Mary Margaret say as I walk up to her and a blonde.
"I didn't do anything." the blonde tells her.
"You stayed." Mary Margaret tells her.
"Mary Margaret, hey! Thank you so much for the scarf as promised here it is." I tell her as I walk up to her and then blonde handing her scarf back.
"No problem." Mary Margaret tells me.
"Who's this?" I ask as I turn to look at the blonde.
"Hi, I'm Emma." Emma tells me.
"Henry's birth mother?" I ask.
"That's me." Emma tells me.
"Nice to meet you Emma, I'm Hazel Hope St. James but you can call me Hazel." I tell her.
"Nice to meet you Hazel." Emma tells me.
"So, does the mayor know you and Evelyn still here?" Mary Maragret asks.
"Who's Evelyn?" I ask.
"Josephine's birth mother." Mary Maragret tells me.
"Oh." I tell her.
"Oh, she knows. What is her deal? She is not a great people person. How did she get elected?" Emma asks.
"She's been mayor as long as I can remember." Mary Maragret tells her.
"No one's has had the guts enough to run against her. She inspires a bit of fear." I tell her.
"I'm afraid I only made that worse by giving Henry that book. Now he thinks he's the Evil Queen along with my daughter." Mary Maragret tells Emma.
"Who does he think you both are?" Emma asks.
"It's silly." Mary Maragret tells her.
"I just got five minutes of silly. Lay it on me." Emma tells her.
"Snow White." Mary Maragret tells her.
"Gwyneria." I tell Emma and watches as she looks at Mary Maragret.
"Who does he think you are?" Mary Maragret asks Emma.
"I'm not in the book. Can I ask you a favor? Regina mentioned the kid's in therapy. Do you know where I could find the doctor?" Emma asks.
"I'll show you it's on my way to work." I tell Emma and we walk away from Mary Maragret. *** "Hey!" Henry exclaims as me and Mary Maragret follow him into the police station to bail out Emma and Evelyn.
"Henry? Henry, what are you doing here?" Graham asks.
"His mother told him what happened." Mary Maragret tells him.
"Of course she did. Henry, I don't know what she said..." Emma tells him before Henry cuts in.
"You're a genius." Henry tells her.
"What?" Emma asks.
"I know what you were up to. You were gathering intel. For Operation Cobra." Henry tells her.
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit lost." Graham tells us.
"It's need to know, Sheriff. And all you need to know is that Miss Blanchard is gonna bail Emma out while Miss St. James is bailing Evelyn out." Henry tells him.
"You are? Why?" Emma asks Mary Maragret.
"I trust you." Mary Maragret tells her.
"Why are you bailing me out?" Evelyn asks me.
"I, uh, I have a good feeling about you." I tell her.
"Well, if you could uncuff me and Evelyn, we have something to do." Emma tells Graham as she and Evelyn hold their arms up to him. *** I'm sitting at my desk in my apartment going over the numbers when my door knocks and I stand up and walk over to my door and open it and see Evelyn standing there.
"Hey. I just wanted to say thanks and pay you back the bail money." Evelyn tells me and hands me the small envelope with cash inside and then looks down towards the floor.
"You need to talk? Because you like you do." I tell her and step to the side so she can walk inside and I pull out some cookies and make us both some hot coco.
"Caramel?" Evelyn asks after she takes a sip of the coco.
"Sorry I should've asked first. It's a quirk of mine. Do you mind?" I ask as I sit down placing the cookies down on the table and take a sip of my drink.
"Not at all. Thanks. When you bailed me out, you said that you had a good feeling about me. Why?" Evelyn asks me.
"Ever since you and Emma arrived here, I've had this feeling in my gut that we've met before somewhere. I know it's crazy." I tell her.
"I'm reevaluate my definition of crazy." Evelyn tells me.
"I think you're innocent if that's worth anything to you." I tell her.
"Of breaking and entering or just in general?" Evelyn asks.
"Whichever makes you sleep better at night." I tell her and she chuckles.
"It doesn't really matter what people think I did or didn't do. Me and Emma are leaving. Thank you for everything, but this is for the best. If we stay Henry and Josephine's only going to get hurt." Evelyn tells me.
"What happens if you do go? I think the fact you want to leave is the exact reason why you should stay. You care about Josephine. Who will protect her if you won't?" I ask her.
"Mary Maragret." Evelyn tells me.
"But will Josephine resent her because she found you? Or will you make the decision that no one's made for you and stay and be in her life because you care?" I ask her.
