CHAPTER 4

3rd Point of View

"I wonder how disappointed your brother will be when you come back home as a failure." Kakashi internally smirks, knowing he hit a nerve.

A kunai whizzes towards Kakashi at lightning speed. He swiftly moves to the side, avoiding the weapon.

Mirai runs after the man, anger blinding her. "Leave my brother out of this!" She grabs another kunai and holds it tightly in her hand.

Mirai sprints after her Sensei, slashing her kunai at him.

Kakashi turns around, grabbing his own kunai, and smoothly blocks all her swings.

"Water Pellet Jutsu!" Mirai shouts, bringing her free hand to her mouth and shoots large water bullets out, aiming at her Sensei with dangerous intent.

Her Sensei, however, quickly uses substitution jutsu and replaces himself with a log. The log gets pelted with the water and splinters.

Even if I can't beat him, I have to prove that I'm not a disappointment to Toki!

She wildly looks in all directions, not finding a hint of her teacher.

"Behind you."

She faces the front still, not listening to the man's words.

Kakashi was hiding in a bush in front of her. He used a clone to tell Mirai that he is behind her, but it seems she did not fall for it.

He hums in suspicion, How does she know that I'm not actually there..

She glares at the bush Kakashi is hiding in and throws a shuriken with sharp precision.

He shuns away from it. If he hadn't done so, it would've hit him. He has to give her props for her remarkable aim.

He leaves her in the secluded spot, off to find Sasuke next. He knows that Mirai's anger has blinded her ability to think logically.

Mirai sprints around, trying to find a trace of Kakashi, throwing weapons around at the clones Kakashi left for her to deal with.

Kakashi leaps closer to Sasuke's directions.

1st Point of View - Mirai

Kakashi-Sensei keeps making clones to stop me from finding his real body. I keep attacking them nonetheless.

Who does he think he is to tell me I'll disappoint Toki. At the thought of Toki, I feel a familiar presence in a tree not too far from me. I turn around, still avoiding the clone's attacks. I see a figure crouched on a tree branch, and with a closer look, I notice it's Toki's Anbu mask, a fox. I gasp slightly at the sight of him.

Just then, one of Kakashi's clones appear in front of me and punches me in the face.

Not wanting to make myself a fool any longer, I jump away from the clones, preparing a large attack to get rid of all of them at once. "Water Wave Jutsu!" I push my hands out and a wave takes over the clones, making them disappear on impact.

After that jutsu, I need to sit down. I plop onto the floor, wiping the sweat off my face. It's been a while since I've used a Jutsu with that much Chakra. I take some deep breaths to steady my heartbeat. I look back at the branch I saw Toki. Nothing.

I think I'm just going to take a nap...

3rd Point of View

Mirai lays back, dozing off from the overexertion of Chakra usage.

While Mirai was passed out, Kakashi was able to catch Naruto trying to eat one of the boxed lunches. After tying up Naruto, the clock goes off. Within the first minute of the exercise being over, Sasuke and Sakura made their way to the tree stumps.
