Pretty Boy.

'Hello, good morning." Dr. Reid enters the office with a coffee in hand.
Arriving at his desk, he sets his to-go-cup down and begins taking his scarf off.

'Pretty boy.' Elle thought. She really doesn't get how he pulls it off, the whole nerdy-professor thing.
Her secret- admiring is interrupted by her friend and co-worker, Derek Morgan. "Morning, pretty boy!" Morgan calls from his office chair.
Spencer looks over and smiles, confused.

"...Pretty boy?" he questions, embarrassed.
A pause.
Elle looks down at her desk, trying not to show an ounce of emotion on her face.
Unfortunately, she can't hide her smirk when Spencer sits down at his desk across from her's, repeating quietly to himself : "pretty boy..?".

Elle lets out a soft-exhale of a laugh, shaking her head as she takes a look at her files for the day.

A few hours pass, and Elle lets out a small grunt of exhaustion.
She decides to get up from her desk and take a walk to the water cooler, just to remember what it feels like to use her legs.

Spencer watches as she goes, trying not to make it noticeable to Morgan or JJ.
When he sees her turn the corner down the hall, he gets up.
He's overheard Elle and Morgan complaining about paperwork and case reports a few times this week, so once she's gone, he walks around to Elle's desk and takes a file from the bottom of her pile.

He would take more, he'd take them all, but the last thing he wanted was for her to notice.
He'd done this once or twice before, he's become strategic about how often and how many files he takes.
He sees it as a way to silently appreciate Elle, without having to endure any sort of human-to-human contact involving verbalizing feelings.

He would freeze, and he was pretty sure Elle wouldn't love it either.
Taking one little thing off her plate was much more his style.

When Elle returned, she got right back to work.
The two didn't talk much that day, both buried in their jobs.
They exchanged one or two smiles over the remainder of their 10 hour shift. Once, Spencer yawned loudly causing Elle to also yawn loudly.
When Elle eventually decided she was leaving for the night, she wished Spencer a good night.
She added "Don't stay out too late!" amusing herself, and earning an unimpressed "mm" from Dr. Reid.

About 40 or so minutes later, Spencer called it quits as well. As Spencer walked out of the Bureau and into the cold night, he reached into his bag and pulled out his scarf.
When he reaches his car, he notices Elle's parked one spot over, lights on. He approaches the window to find Elle wrapping up a phone call to a friend. She rolls down the window.
"Ah, pretty boy!" she taunts.
Shocked, Reid feels his cheeks go red as he looks down at his shoes.
"Hi." he laughs, eyes wide. "Uhm, what're you still doing here?"
"I was just on the phone with an old girlfriend" says Elle with a smile, unable to hide the excitement she got from making him all shy.
"Oh" says Dr Reid, recovering from being called 'pretty boy' once again, this time by a beautiful woman. "I guess... you were the one who stayed out too late."
"Huh?" Elle asks.
"Oh just cause, y'know... you're still here after you were supposed to have left." Spencer explains.
"I see. Well, chico," Elle starts "it is late, so I'm out of here." Elle says, the sweet smile still on her face. "Yes! Yes, of course. Go home." Spencer stammers.
He smiles as he lets out a large sigh, running a hand through his hair. Turning to unlock his car as he hears Elle's engine start up.
He figures she's gone.

"Spencer?" Elle calls out the window.
He turns back to face her again.
"You do look pretty in that scarf." She has to slightly yell to be heard over the sound of the running engine. "Alright, G'night." She yells.
The window rolls up, and she drives away.

Idk about this one yall.
