I knew having an early birthday party while my parents and my brother went out of town for a couple of days for a work trip was a bad idea. However, my best friends Paige and Morgan really wanted to celebrate it before we went our separate ways for college in the fall. I also knew that it was four months away, but we needed to do it now. Anyway, the party was a blast, music bumping, people dancing. Yes, there was drinking even though we were still seventeen. We shouldn't have involved alcohol because later during the party, something bad happened.
The party was in full swing, the song playing was a new hit by Jeremih. The smell of alcohol and the sweat from the bodies dancing together was kind of intoxicating. I was dancing with my best friends by the kitchen. All of a sudden, I heard a commotion coming from the dance area. It sounded like a guy and a girl getting loud.
"What do you mean you weren't thinking straight?!" I heard the girl getting more upset.
"You heard me!" The guy, who looked like one of the jocks at our school, was matching her volume.
"So you think it's okay for me, your girlfriend, to find you locking lips with your guy best friend?!" The girl hysterically laughed like she was crazy.
At this point, everyone surrounding them, Paige, Morgan, and I included, were looking at each other like someone had died. I knew I had to get them apart from each other so they didn't get into a stupid fight. That was the last thing I needed in my house.
"What if I liked it?!" The guy exclaimed while smirking towards the girl.
"That's not normal! You're a freak just like fuckin' Tristan over there!" The girl got mad and pointed towards me. I cowered behind my friends so I wouldn't get the attention.
Morgan got pissed off real quick. She went up to the bitch and slapped her across the face! "Don't ever talk about my best friend like that! This is his birthday party! You have no right to talk like that! Behave or get out!" Morgan pointed to the front door after saying the last part.
The girl looked at Morgan with bewilderment in her eyes while holding her cheek from the slight pain from the slap. At first, nothing happened, however, in a fast blur, the girl lunged at Morgan!
"You bitch!" she screamed.
The girl started swinging at Morgan and then the two of them started going at each other. After a handful of minutes of them hitting each other and knocking things over, Paige and I held Morgan back, while the other girl's "boyfriend" and the other guy that made out with him were dragging the other girl out of the house. When everyone thought that everything was fine, we heard the "couple" screaming at each other again outside. Morgan dashed to the open door, while me, Paige, and a couple other people followed in pursuit.
"I hope you two burn in hell, you stupid fucking fa-" The girl started to wail, however was interrupted by Morgan.
"Look, I know you're upset about how your so called 'boyfriend' didn't tell you anything, but this is not it girl." Morgan crossed her arms.
The girl was about to run at Morgan again, when we all heard police car sirens in the distance! It was a blessing and a curse at the same time.
"Oh shit! Cops! Run!" someone shouted to everyone at the party.
Everyone ran out of the house and either to other houses or their cars to drive away quickly. Almost everyone that is. Paige, Morgan, the girl, the two guys, and I got caught up with trying to hide or escape, but we didn't get out in time.
"Hey Tristan, got noise complaints about a party", Sheriff Frank said while getting out of the car after pulling up, "Is that true?"
Even though Sheriff Frank knew my whole family personally, I knew I wouldn't get away with it.
