Radhika's pov

I began to explain everything related to my past to Rishi, he listened intently, his eyes filled with concern and understanding. I told him about how Rohan was not my real brother, but my cousin brother, and how my uncle had raised me as his own. I stumbled over my words as I revealed the shocking truth - my brother was a member of the mafia.

Rishi's grip on my hand tightened as I continued, my voice shaking with fear and anxiety. I told him about my father, an undercover agent who had dealt with dangerous people, and how his work had ultimately led to his death in an accident. I was only 11 years old at the time, and the loss had left me feeling alone and vulnerable.

As I read my father's diary, I discovered the dark truth about my brother's involvement in the mafia. I was horrified and felt betrayed by my own family. I had tried to distance myself from him, but now I realized that my uncle was also involved in the same illegal activities.

Rishi's expression turned grim as I revealed the extent of their wrongdoing - how they had been eyeing my property and ancestral wealth, using it to fund their illegal endeavors. I felt a wave of fear wash over me as I realized the danger I was in.

Rishi pulled me into a warm embrace, his voice soft and comforting. "You're safe now," he whispered. "I won't let anything happen to you." His words were like a balm to my soul, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me.

As I sobbed uncontrollably, Rishi held me close, his heart beating with compassion and understanding. I knew in that moment that I had found a true friend and ally in him. Together, we would face whatever lay ahead, and I was grateful for his unwavering support and protection.

As I continued my story, my sobs became uncontrollable. I revealed to Rishi that my father's accident was actually a murder, and I was determined to find the culprit. I had been investigating on my own and discovered that my uncle was not responsible for my father's death. Instead, I believed that my father was killed for trying to expose a mafia member named Rishab.

Radhika's eyes welled up with tears as she began to tell Rishi about her father. "My father was a brave and honest police officer, Rishi. He was working on a high-profile case to bring down the notorious mafia leader, Rishab. He was so close to uncovering the truth, but Rishab caught wind of it and ordered a hit on him."

Radhika's voice cracked as she continued. "One night, my father was driving home from work when his car was ambushed by Rishab's henchmen. They forced his car off the road and staged a fake accident. My father suffered fatal injuries, and the police were made to believe it was an accident."

Rishi listened intently, his expression sympathetic. Radhika took a deep breath and went on. "But I always had my doubts about the official story, Rishi. I knew my father was getting close to solving a big case, and the accident seemed too convenient. As I grew older, I began investigating on my own, following in my father's footsteps. And then I discovered the truth about Rishab's involvement."

Radhika's eyes blazed with determination. "I vowed to bring him to justice, Rishi. My father's accident was a pivotal moment in my life, shaping me into the person I am today. I became a skilled investigator, just like my father"

Rishi's expression changed from concern to shock as I mentioned Rishab's name. He took a step back, his eyes wide with surprise. "Take rest, leave everything to me," he said urgently, his voice firm but gentle.

I was taken aback by his sudden reaction. "Why? What do you know about Rishab?" I asked, my mind racing with questions.

Rishi hesitated, then nodded. "I'll tell you everything, but first, you need to rest. You're not in a state to hear this right now."

I felt a surge of frustration, but Rishi's calm demeanor reassured me. I nodded, and he led me to a nearby couch. As I lay down, he covered me with a blanket and sat beside me, his hand on my shoulder.

"Sleep now, we'll talk later," he whispered.

As I closed my eyes, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I knew I could trust Rishi with my life. But little did I know that our conversation was just the beginning of a dangerous journey, one that would put our lives at risk and uncover secrets that were meant to stay hidden.

Rishi's pov

The irony of it all. I, Rishi, the man who had been so determined to uncover the truth about Radhika's father's death, was now faced with the reality of my own family's involvement in the tragedy. As Radhika spoke about her father's accident and Rishab's role in it, I felt like I had been punched in the gut. How could I face her, knowing that my own family member was responsible for her pain?

I thought to myself, "Great, just great. I've been trying to win her trust and now I find out that my family is connected to the man who killed her father. This is just perfect."

But as I looked at Radhika, I knew I couldn't give up. I had to make things right, no matter what it took. I took a deep breath and decided to come clean, to tell her everything. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I had to try.

Rishi's mind raced as he stood before Radhika, his heart heavy with secrets. He had been about to confess everything to her, but his courage failed him. Now, he was trapped in his own web of deceit.

As Radhika looked at him with trusting eyes, Rishi felt a pang of guilt. He knew he couldn't keep the truth from her forever, but for now, he was stuck in silence.

A moment ago, Radhika had been about to reveal a shocking truth, but Rishi had cut her off, unable to bear the weight of his secrets any longer. Now, he was left wondering what she had been about to say.

As they parted ways, Rishi couldn't shake off the feeling of impending doom. He knew that eventually, Radhika would discover the truth, and when she did, he would lose her forever. The thought sent a chill down his spine, and he knew he had to find a way to come clean before it was too late. But for now, he was stuck in his silence, haunted by the secrets he kept. Make it as rishi think all this while talking to him.

Radhika knocked on Rishi's door, her heart racing with excitement and a hint of nervousness. She had been wanting to tell him something important, but he had left her in the middle of their conversation earlier.

"May I come in?" she asked, her voice soft.

Rishi looked up from his book and smiled. "Radhika, you don't need to ask for permission. Just come in, mere jaan."

Radhika's face lit up with a smile as she entered the room. "I have something important to tell you, Rishi."

Rishi closed his book and gave her his full attention. "What is it, Radhika?"

Radhika took a deep breath before speaking. "I have been an undercover officer for the past few years, Rishi. But I resigned from my post because I was getting threatened."

Rishi's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly composed himself. "I understand, Radhika. That must have been tough for you."

Radhika nodded, relief washing over her face. "It was, but I'm glad I can finally talk about it with someone."

Just then, Rishi's phone rang, breaking the moment. "I'm sorry, Radhika. I need to take this call."

Radhika nodded and stood up. "I'll go to my room and take rest. We can talk more later."

Rishi nodded and watched her leave before answering the call. As he talked on the phone, his mind raced with thoughts of Radhika's revelation. He was proud of her for being brave enough to share her secret with him.

After the call ended, Rishi went to Radhika's room and knocked on the door. "Radhika, can I come in?"

Radhika opened the door, a smile on her face. "Of course, Rishi."

Rishi entered the room and sat down beside her. "I'm glad you told me about your past, Radhika. I'm here for you, always."
