Azula was arrested by the pros. While the police hauled her away, restrained by I-Got-You's quirk and with her full body bound, the other kids were interrogated as a group and Toph returned the crowd to the ground.
"What were you two thinking fighting out in the open? Do you want to ruin your record?" Eye-slip chastised them. "And you, regardless of your quirk, that was pretty dangerous!" she directed specifically at Killua.
"For a bunch of hunters, you three were pretty useless. How'd you even pass your hunter exam?" Killua snapped at them.
"It was really cool how you moved the ground to try and save all those people," Gon complimented Toph.
"You kids will have to answer at the station," the Dark Magician told them, his hands pocketed. "The police will call your parents and get to the bottom of this."
"And what about her?" Gon asked, pointing at Azula.
"Oh, that naughty girl? She tried to hurt a big audience," I-Got-You noted. "She's probably gonna be taken away for a long time!"
"Back to the slammer where she belongs!" Toph cheered with victory.
"You lovelies wait here. Let's see what the detectives have to say," I-Got-You told them before slinking away.
As the pro-heroes gathered with the detectives to deal with Azula and ensure there were no other casualties, the four kids gathered.
"That was really brave, saving the crowd like that," Katara commended Killua.
"Yeah, I can do stuff like that in my sleep," he bragged. Katara scoffed and shrugged him off.
"Did you guys get brought here from another country too?" Gon asked them.
"Don't reveal that so casually!" Killua scolded.
"This city is much different from Ba Sin Se, or any other one in the earth kingdom. It's much bigger," Toph noted.
As Gon and the girls discussed their situation, Killua tried to listen in on the conversation the detectives were having with the police.
"Children or not, they endangered a lot of people and used their quirks to harm others," the detective told the pros. "They should be apprehended and not commended!"
"They were just defending themselves against a bully," Eye-Slip argued.
"Those without licenses aren't allowed to use their quirks against villains. And they're definitely not allowed to move city blocks or interfere with hero business," the detective snapped at them.
"Just take the kids to the station and have their parents come in. You can give them a talking to then," the Dark Magician suggested.
"What don't you get? They have dangerous quirks and they broke the law. And they're the only ones found at the explosion site. Until the investigation is complete, you should assume they're guilty."
I-Got-You chuckled. "I get it now. Their power frightens you, doesn't it?" he asked, looming uncomfortably over the detective. "You would rather root them out while they're young, rather than have them bloom to their full potential."
The detective was pissed off at this point. "If...if you still want to get paid, you'll do as I say."
"Gon, it's time to go!" Killua interrupted the conversation mid-sentence. The three noticed the shift in his demeanor almost immediately. "They're going to arrest us!"
"You should come with us," Gon offered.
"What are you doing? They're going to slow us down!" Killua seethed through his teeth.
"Oh, does fuzzy feet think we can't hold on our own just because we're gwurls?" Toph mocked.
"They are strong. And I think we could use their help," Gon repeated, Killua let out a defeated grunt.
"Fine!"
The three pros were not happy with the detective's threat. I-Got-You was definitely seething, but the Dark Magician touched his arm and shook his head. With his arms pocketed, he walked away a few meters from the oblivious kids and took his hands out, turning to the detective. "Just so you know, this is how villains are made!"
"Card Capture!" The Dark Magician shot out several card decks towards the kids at blinding speeds. Toph made a concrete dome around them almost instantly to block them all. Thick fog burst from all the underground vents and sewers and began covering the streets. "Eye-Slip!" the Dark Magician called out.
"Got it! Slip Piercer!" Eye-Slip shot two piercing oil beams into the cement shelter, breaking through it and slicing the top off.
Tsk! Hunting children! Is that how low we've fallen? I-Got-You let out an annoyed scoff before rushing towards the cement dome. Just one touch and we're done here!
The street was now covered in thick mist, making it hard to see anything. A bolt of lightning shot past him before he could realize and into the air, to the top of one of the surrounding buildings. Over at the next street, they saw the bolt come crashing down, with a thunderclap so loud that they were forced to cover their ears.
"Deck Dance!" A whirlwind of cards blew across the street pushing away the mists and creating a clearing for the pro-heroes. They found an empty cement dome with a hole underneath it.
The Dark Magician returned to the detective. "It seems they escaped into the city sewers. Our abilities aren't suited for pursuit in the dark so we'll just come with you to the station and give our statements."
The detective was very ticked off at this point. "You're not trying very hard, are you?"
"Look man! We got the one causing a mess. Search and rescue precedes pursuit in terms of priority."
"Fine!" the detective spat. "But I'll have every officer looking for those kids as soon as I can. Hear me?"
