chapter fifty five - the talking date

BLAKE AND WALKER SAT ACROSS from each other, walker silently eating while blake picked at her steak and fries.

the couple hadn't spoken to each other, or any sorts of physical contact for the entire day. it was weird, especially since it was the middle of the day.

everyone around them was talking, and they looked like two awkward teens by the way they were just sitting. which is exactly what they were, two awkward teens with terrible communication.

they both knew they couldn't communicate, but because how much they cherished the relationship they had they were going to have to put their struggles aside.

"how's your steak." walker said quietly. "good. how's your spaghetti?" blake asked.

"it's alright." walker said. "cause your basic." blake said, and walker laughed a bit.

blake and walker went back to their silence, blake looking around awkwardly. walker then pushed a slightly crumpled piece of paper towards blake.

"what's this...the guide to win a girls heart?" she said reading the paper. "dylan, malachi, and i made it so you could like me again." walker said.

"geez dylan's handwriting is ass - wait like you again?" blake said, confused. she never stopped liking walker, so how would that make any sense.

"yeah i realized you stopped liking me, so i had to get you back." walker said. blake furrowed her eyebrows, and then started laughing.

she kept going, and walker was both scared and confused. "i got exposed for having a celebrity crush on you. that's why we're together. i want you to think again, would i ever stop liking you?" blake said.

walker sat and thought, why would he ever think that? "but you ignored half of my calls, you stopped texting me good morning with a photo of you half asleep, you sent me one word responses, and you..you are saying ew when i kissed your face.

blake sighed while grabbing walkers hands, ready to give him an explanation. "walker you have to understand that i am very busy sometimes. i've been filming content for my youtube channel, with the triplets, doing auditions, i try to balance it all but its hard."

"and about your face kisses, i loved them. honestly i wished you did them more often. this list is stupid but the face kisses idea is genious. i was laughing while i said all of that walker, i didn't mean it. i would've pushed you away if i didn't want you kissing my face, but did i?"

"no..."

"exactly. you're just overthinking. i would never stop liking you. you're everything to me." blake said, squeezing walker's hand.

walker smiled widely, now being assured blake didn't fall out of love with him. well not love, out of like. this had meant that eventually she would love him, and there would be no problems.

"so if my problems are cleared up...why were you in a fit last night." walker said, finally eating his pasta with some life.

"it's stupid, i'm over it." blake shook her head. "i'll decide if its stupid or not. talk to me, you know i'm listening." walker said.

"well, there were some comments under the birthday post of us that...they kinda were making fun of names that people call their boyfriends or girlfriends and saying how we probably call each other corny names." blake started.

"i usually don't give a single shit about the comments, but these screwed me up. jellybean isn't an average nickname for someone's boyfriend...and it sounds cringy. and i don't even know if you like it, or just let me say it to keep me happy."

walker stayed silent, making blake extremely anxious. "okay, i'm gonna be honest. jellybean as a nickname is cringy, and it's corny."

blake's smile faded, and she could feel herself about to cry. "usually i would get icked out, but when it comes to you i love the nickname. you're teasing me for being jealous everytime you call me jellybean, and i love it. it shows your personallity, and i would never stop the smile that comes on your face whenever you call me it."

"it doesn't matter what the fans think, because they don't know the backstory. they don't know how much i love it, and how happy it makes me to see you giddy when i answer to jellybean. i do like it blake, even if i didn't i would still suck it up and let you call me it because of how much joy it brings you." walker said.

"walker stop.." blake said looking down to hide the rosy color on her cheeks. "it's true. i just want to see you happy."

"and i want to see you happy." blake said back.

"then we can be happy together." walker said smiling, and blake returned the expression.

walker leaned up on the table, quickly giving blake a kiss since they were in public. "i think then paps are here...."

"oh shit." walker said as he sat back down. "kidding. my paparazzi sense would've gone off." blake said.

she then picked up the paper that was in front of her still.

"whys the last one crossed out?"

"idk it just is."
