SEPTEMBER 16, MONDAY, 9:00AM.

"Wen Junhui, come to my office, please."

The blond man looks up from his computer through the top of his glasses that sit lazily on his nose. At the other end of his glance is his boss, glancing down at him and radiating nothing less than ' expensive '.

"Yes sir." Junhui replies, voice stiff with formality and nerves, then he stands to follow the red head to his office. When inside, Junhui's eyes widen with how the midday light shining through the big window fills the room, no need for any other light until the sun sets. Jun stands there, staring at the world outside that has become small with being so high in the sky.

A soft click sounds from the closed door and Jun closes his eyes. It has been one month since Jun moved to Seoul, and almost three weeks since he started his new job at Seventeen Sounds. Within this short amount of time Jun has moved to the city, there has been a change in his life that will be with him forever.

Wen Junhui has always been described as a gentle and kind boy, and that is just his very nature. That is how he was raised and there is not an ill will in his body to defy it. In social settings, people would often see him more on the shy side and hard to read, especially when it comes to first impressions. Pretty faces don't always stand out like in the dramas, the world isn't so simple and more often than not, Junhui finds that he tends to blend into the background. Raised to have a bleeding heart who gives too many second chances, it is concluded that Wen Junhui was the perfect doll. And it is these beautiful, porcelain dolls that get taken advantage of the most.

It may sound simple to some, maybe not to others, but this self realization deeply affected Wen Junhui. So when he was given the opportunity to study overseas for a year, he took it as another chance. Making friends was not easy, but he somehow managed to befriend a kind trio. They taught him how to be ok and be more open while still staying true to himself. Then sometime down the road, one of them blossomed into something more. These friends were his life line and represented a hope that he may not end up alone after all. Those ten months were some of his best and considered them as a new beginning, but of course it had to come to an end at some point. Leaving those who he felt he had been waiting his whole life for was probably one of the hardest things he had ever done. He promised he'd be back, but the time apart was too far and painful for the one he fell in love with.

The job Jun got right outside of college was a good starting point in his career path. He steadily rose and several years went by in a blur. Time caught up to him in an instant when he blinked and found himself in the manager's office being asked to transfer to work at the companies' main branch. It must've not been too hard of a decision if he agreed to take the job on the spot. Besides, he's always wanted to go back and live in South Korea.

A month later, Jun is unpacking his things in his new apartment in the city of Seoul. The whole day, the only thing he has in his mind is, " Should I contact him? What would I even say? Does he even know I'm here?"

The next day, Jun meets up with two friends in the city for brunch.

AUGUST 12, SATURDAY, 12:15. THE MONTH PRIOR.

"Ohmygod!"

"Jun!"

"Mingyu! Wonwoo!"

The three friends collide in a big hug, "How are you guys?! It's been so long!" Wonwoo looks at Mingyu, "It's been, what? Five years?"

"Almost six!" Mingyu adds.

"Wow... How time flies, huh!"

"Right? Feels like I left only recently, yet so long ago at the same time!"
