"Hell. This is absolute hell. I can't wait to leave it here."
That was all that went in young Aella's mind as she was packing her bags with the intention of escaping.
Aella, the bright and smart girl of the Orphanage of the Sentinent Inc. Looked up to by many, envied by some. It's the same backstory all over again, tortured by the orphanage, grew hatred for it, leaves, but is it?
She ties her curly blue hair into a bun before the zips up her backpack with the necessities needed to survive all alone, her hazel eyes reflecting the moonlight from the window
Grabbing her bag and jacket, she slowly closes the door so as not to raise suspicion. tip toeing through the long and tall halls of the corridor.
As she carefully walks through, her heart skips a beat as she hears a tune, as if someone is singing
"Crap"
Aella then cursed herself mentally and sprints to a dark corner where no one can see her. She made sure the coast was clear before sprinting as fast and as quietly as she could.
Reaching the gate, she looks around for guards on the lookout. Luckily, they were all on their break
"Thank the gods.." she sighed to herself before climbing up the gate and sprinting away after.
After a few minutes or so of sprinting, she stops in the middle of the woods, panting heavily as she puts her arms on her knees for support.
Aella then stretches for a bit, cracking bones and relieving and sore spots in her body.
Halfway into stretching, Aella notices a weird path. Curiosity gets the best of her. She grabs her bags and follows the path laid out in front of her. She reaches the end of the path, a big tree-like house in front of her.
"Woah.." she stares at the house in awe. "I wonder if this is a suitable place to live i-"
***BANG! BANG! BANG!***
Three gunshots echoed through the breezy winds of the forest, all hitting a part of her body. An arm, a leg, and the right part of her abdomen.
Shocked by this, she falls to the ground, arms hugging her stomach. She can feel her consciousness slowly fading away. She extracts the hand where the gunshot on the abdomen was. Blood was all she saw in the palm of her hand.
"Please dont tell me im gonna die now..." she exhales, her last words spoken and said, where no one can hear.
A group of people ran up to Aella's unconscious body, few skeptical, few annoyed.
"Do you think she'll die?" The ravenette haired girl questioned, her bangs slightly covering her eyes.
"Let's just bring her in and treat her. Those wounds are fatal if not treated immediately." A blonde boy pushed himself off of a tree and carried Aella's body in to treat her
A few hours later, Aella's eyes flutter open, and the first things her eyes lay on are the nerd looking guy beside her, sitting on a chair reading a book.
The boy realized that Aella had awoken, running to the others to inform them about this. A few minutes later, the group ran to the room Aella was in, surrounding her and her bed.
