The following week, Fatima planned a visit for the young man and his family to come to their home. She hoped this visit would help settle things and give them a chance to talk more about the marriage proposal.
When the doorbell rang, Fatima went to answer it. The young man, named Idris, came in with his parents. Idris was tall and good-looking, with a confident but polite manner. His parents were friendly and respectful, and the atmosphere was formal but pleasant.
At dinner, Idris clearly paid a lot of attention to Narymel. He asked her questions about her interests and made sure to include her in the conversation. Narymel felt flattered but also uneasy. She tried to stay calm.
Throughout the meal, Idris complimented Narymel often. "You have a beautiful smile," he said warmly. "And your thoughts on books are really interesting. I've never met someone so thoughtful."
Narymel blushed, trying to hide her embarrassment. Asiyah noticed and felt a mix of jealousy and worry. It was obvious that Idris was very interested in Narymel, which made her feel more uncomfortable.
Fatima watched the interaction with a mix of hope and concern. She had hoped Idris would win over the whole family, but the clear interest he showed in Narymel made things more complicated.
After dinner, as the guests were preparing to leave and everyone was busy talking, Idris seized the opportunity to speak with Narymel. He approached her while she was alone in the garden.
"I'm glad we had a chance to talk," Idris said softly. "I've been thinking about you a lot since we first met. I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I feel a strong connection with you."
Narymel's heart raced. She felt touched by his words but also overwhelmed by the situation.
"Idris," she said hesitantly, "I don't know what to say. "This is wrong."
Idris gently took her hand. "I understand. I just wanted you to know how I feel. I hope we can get to know each other better..."
When Idris and his family left, Narymel went back inside, feeling confused and emotional. The meeting had stirred up feelings she wasn't ready to handle, and she sensed that her life was about to change.
Later that night, Fatima and Mohamed discussed the evening's events. Fatima was pleased with Idris's behavior but worried about his obvious interest in Narymel. Mohamed reassured her, saying that Idris would never marry Narymel, as he would make sure it wouldn't happen.
The next morning, Narymel felt as though everything was changing around her. The meeting with Idris had left her feeling uncertain, and the future seemed more complicated than ever. Nevertheless, she told herself that she wouldn't let these troubles overwhelm her. She resolved to continue living her life and being the person she believed she was.
