The ground rumbled and I felt slightly sick, not due to the motion, but just.. because.

"Percy, what's wrong?"

"What? That's not me."

"Oh," was Apollo's intelligent response before Poseidon, my father, materialised in a rage.

"Perseus Jackson!"

"Yeah, that's me, dad."

"What were you thinking?!" Poseidon exclaimed, running a hand through his already tousled hair. "I got told by a naiad - a naiad who bothered to come all the way to my palace - that you'd- you know what you did!"

I winced. "Yeah. Uh.. sorry?"

"I-- god, Percy. Don't tell me sorry, tell me why!"

"Well, I uh.. felt sad?"

Poseidon glared at me so vehemently that I shrank back. "Alright! I don't know, I could see everyone else in a happy couple, so then I felt alone, and then I went to the beach because- no idea, actually, that was really stupid of me.." I them mumbled something alone the lines of 'inherited from you, no doubt..' before carrying on. "And then I came back and shut myself, and it just.. kinda happened?"

"So you mean to tell me that Anaklusmos just rose into the air and-"

"Shut up, Apollo."

"Seriously, Perseus.." Poseidon started, trailing off when I gave him a withering look.

"My name is Percy, dad. I'm not answering to Perseus."

"Okay. Sorry, son. But in all seriousness, that is not okay. You are not.. killing yourself, or whatever you attempted. You are expected at Olympus in 3 hours to discuss this further," he stated, before looking at Apollo. "Stay with him until the meeting. I mean it. No chasing dryads."

"Dad! Leave him alo-"

Poseidon disappeared.

Apollo winced. "Uh.."

"Yeah. Uh." I replied, doing my best to not sound mocking.

Apollo sighed, "Okay. Well, get showered, get dressed, have something to eat, blah blah blah.. then rest."

"Now?"

"No Percy, in 39 minutes- yes, now!"

A/N: kinda a short chapter, but I wrote half of it at 1am lmao and didn't know where to go off of this, because I want the next topic to be Apollo's POV but I'm not switching POV's halfway through a chapter. I'm publishing this at 8:30am after starting it at 0:29am, leaving half of it as a draft at 1am (writers block) and then continuing it until it was finished at 8:20am. Yes, I'm rambling to fill up this space just because.. yeah.
