Joey

Chapter 1- Stables

"Bam!" Bria spins around quickly to notice that Joey knocked over his feed bucket. "Oh Joey, you always are knocking over your feed bucket!" Joey walks over to the window in his stall and sticks his head out. Bria walks over and starts rubbing Joeys nose. "Your so silly Joey" Bria says.

She opens up Joey stall and walks in to see the oats all over the floor. She just shakes her head and grabs the feed bucket. Bria walked out of Joey's stall and closes it good.

"Hey do you need help with that?" Harper asked nicely walking into the barn. " I think I got it Harper, thanks for asking though" Bria says back with a smile on her face.

Bailey walks out of the tack room with a saddle to his side and a bridle in the other. " once again you two besties are chatting away" he says rolling his eyes.

Bria looks at him and says " actually we are not chatting away Bailey, Harper was just asking if she could help with Joey's feed." "Oh" Bailey responds.
"Where are you going?" Harper asked Bailey. " you don't need to know" he responds back. "Yes we do Bailey! Everyone is leaving, which means that it's time to go home" Bria says with a little bit of anger in her voice.

" I'm going out for a short trail ride with Aztec. Don't worry about me!'" Bailey snaps back in anger. He walks off into to Aztecs stall (who is Bailey's horse) and closes the door behind him in anger.

"Ok then" Bria says a little bit confused. "Im going to go feed Joey. Do you want me to feed Merlin for you?"(Merlin is Harper's horse) Bria asked nicely. Harper says back " Sure thanks!"

"Beep, Beep!" Harper grabs her iPod and runs off. " that's my mom! Got to go! See you tomorrow! Happy Early birthday! Bye!" Harper yells running to the car. Bria giggles, waves, and walks over to the feed room.

She puts oats in Merlin and Joey's feed buckets, then walks out of the feed room. She puts Merlin's food in his stall and she puts his blanket on. "Good night Merlin" she says rubbing his soft face.

Bria walks over to Joey's stall as Bailey and Aztec come walking. Out. "Bye Bria. See you tomorrow. Happy early birthday" Bailey says over the sound of Aztecs hoofs on the concrete.

"Thank you. Bye Bailey" Bria says back while putting Joey's feed bucket back up against the stall wall. Bria puts Joey's blanket on and Gives Joey a BIG hug. " Good Night Joey" Bria says closing Joey's door securely.

"Honk, Honk!" Bria here's a car horn. Bria knows it is her dad. She grabs her backpack and throughs on her winter coat. "Bye horses!" She yells.

Bria runs out in the cold snow. She can here the crunching of the snow under her feet as she ran to the car. Bria hops in her dads truck and buckles up for a ride home.
