CHAPTER ONE.
"The Night Before"
[ Beacon Hills Preserve ]Listening to Stiles and tagging along with him and Scott while they search for half a dead body in the woods, was my second mistake of the night. The first one being answering the front door when my two idiotic best friends knocked on it at midnight, the night before our sophomore year. And Scott must've been thinking the same thing because as the three of us hopped out of Stiles' infamous blue Jeep he asked Stiles.
"Are we seriously doing this?"
"You're the one bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles brushed off Scott's worries.
"I think what Scott means is why the hell did you drag us out into the woods at twelve am." I added.
"Well, you didn't have to come with us to the woods with us at twelve am" Stiles retorted, emphasizing twelve am.
"And let you two have all the fun, yeah-no" I said.
"And I was trying to get a good nights rest before practice tomorrow" Scott added in and I tried not to snort.
Stiles snorted at Scott's comment and chuckled before responding "yeah, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort"
"No!" Scott exclaimed "I've been practicing, infact I'm making first line"
Now I snorted, but I tried covering it up with a cough. But Scott caught on and gave me a dirty look. To which I mouthed sorry to him.
"That's the spirit!" Stiles said in his usual sarcastic manner "everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one" when stiles said this I wacked him with my hand on the back of his head. "Ow-hey!" He shouted instantly bringing his hand where I hit, rubbing the spot.
Scott laughed at our interaction to which I smiled at.
"Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Scott asked as we continued to make our way through the woods. The only source of light we had being Stiles' singular flashlight and the full moon over our heads.
"Huh, didn't really think about that" Stiles shrugged.
I rolled my eyes and muttered "great."
"And what if whoever murdered the girl is still out here?" Scott questioned our friend again, his breathing getting heavier as we made our way up a hill.
"Didn't think about that either" Stiles said again.
"Well Stiles, its comforting to know you planned this little adventure out with you pristine attention to detail" I said with sarcasm dripping from my words.
"Yeah, and maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight" Scott said as he leant up against a tree.
"You good Scotty?" I asked Scott as he shook his inhaler, taking an inhale from it. When he took the plastic away from his lips he nodded.
I grabbed onto Scott's elbow to help him up the rest of the hill, trying to make it easier on him. When we got to the top of the hill with Stiles, he grabbed onto my sweatshirts sleeve and pulled us down to the ground. And since me and Scott had our elbows locked, I brought him down with me.
