Love is lost when I fall

If it isn't love, then it must be poetry.

Maybe it's all a fantasy.

You're just too good to be real.

You must come with exceptions.

Will you leave the second I say I love you or will you use it to your advantage.

There must be a lesson to learn from you.

It's impossible that you'd end up as good as a fairytale.

There's no way that we could ever love the same.

Tell me it's a lie and leave me before I can't get up from the fall.

My wings are too heavy. I can't fly up if you push me down.

Maybe that's exactly what you want.

Either way, you'll make me a poet.

Good or bad is up to the reader to decide and for me to find out after falling for the same old tricks again.

At least I could learn something from you.

Same lessons from a different person.

Maybe I shouldn't love, then I'll never fall.

Poem about attachment and trust issues. When you're too afraid to trust another person who enters your life because you've been hurt too many times, you expect them to use you or leave you. When you don't want to get attached, when you know they'll leave eventually.
