My first (of many) entries for the #TCPSContest!
Behind the cover: The background is meant to be a football field (serves as the main reason behind the trouble in the book) and the X's and O's symbolize the different "plays" made throughout the book that lead to the ultimate outcome (the X and O at the top left corner with a heart). The football helmets are the colors of the opposing teams and are faced each other. Basically, this cover reflects how the majority of main conflicts in the book are all because of the football rivalry.
Tagline/Phrase: "Read as play by play, Talon will try to win this dangerous game of love."
