My Solitary Creed;
I wish I'd taken better care,
Of the advice you gave to me,
But years have passed, like sheets of rain,
Lost in a barren summer sky.
You instilled in me the values,
Shaping who I've come to be,
Fixing firmly within mine soul,
My Guiding Light, My Solitary Creed.
I know the weight a promise holds,
And you taught the sting of lies.
For the world turns cold and harsh,
To those who walk with upright pride.
The just are met with silent scorn,
In a world that's lost its way,
For those who stand for voiceless ones,
Are often left in disarray.
Yet I persist, though shadows grow,
And loneliness becomes my friend,
A steadfast heart, a quiet soul,
That's true until the end.
Though the World may change, and the Seasons pass,
The Spark remains the same,
A guiding light through darkest nights,
In solitude, my strength sustains.
