Dinner had ended almost as soon as it began. It took no time for the girls to relax. Maybe it was the drinks, the delicious dinner, or the jazz music performed by two wonderfully looking people. The wonderful performers, Seonghwa the pianist, and Jongho the singer, introduced themselves from the stage.

All three of the girls felt it. Something was off about this situation, but it wasn't enough to actually concern anyone. Maybe that was the liquor talking, or perhaps the handsome faces. But the girls watched and ate in an eerie comfort.

Sketchy wasn't how Ada would describe it. It could have been a feeling of opposition. No. She couldn't put words to her consistent feeling. A feeling that had persisted since before the arrival to the Hotel California.

At some point, the boys from the stage left their positions to join their friends. And sooner than later, the group of annoyingly attractive men left the dining room, giving smiles or nods to the girls as they trickled away. The girls continued their conversations, but now they wouldn't worry about being heard.

"I feel like I am enjoying this, but I shouldn't be." Quinn said, leaning back in her seat a bit.

Ada nodded aggressively, "I was actually just thinking about that...It's like it almost feels like something is wrong, but I don't care." Quinn snapped her head straight towards Ada and stuck up her finger, pointing at Ada, "Exactly, that's how I feel."

"Perturbed, I'm pretty sure that is the word we're looking for." Junie finally added to the conversation. Of course she would know, she had a knack for grammar and the English language, something that was never really prevalent until recently.

Ada and Quinn fell silent, taking in the word. No, neither of them were dumb or stupid or slow, but both of them could say they did not understand the word. A moment went by with the silence continuing. Junie smiled, rolled her eyes, and huffed a little, "It means troubled, but really a better way to describe the feeling is to say you were feeling all-overish."

Ada's mouth hung open slightly while Quinn's mouth turned into a half smile as Junie went on, "All-overish basically means to feel slightly or just barely uneasy. It originated in the early eighteen-hundreds but is not really used today."

By the time Junie had finished her history lesson in words, Quinn and Ada were giggling. The alcohol spoke for them as their giggles grew into laughs. The two girls let their voices carry and looked to Junie, who was unamused. They weren't trying to be mean, and Junie knew that. Normally, this wouldn't bother Junie, and again it was the alcohol that took Junie out of her chair and away from the dining room in anger.

Ada and Quinn continued their laughing as Junie walked away, calling after her to stay with them and telling her they meant nothing of it. Still, Juno walked anyway, waving them off as the dining room door closed behind her.

She could still hear the girls calling after her and laughing through the closed doors. She shook her head, unsure of why she was suddenly feeling this negatively about a situation that wasn't uncommon or bothering in any way.

She made her way into the lobby, once again noting the strange decor. She looked all the way up to the ceiling, still walking, now just slower. The ceiling was blue but not too bright and not too dark. Junie made a face at the ceiling, trying to understand why someone would have chosen to paint the ceiling blue. She scoffed and lowered her eyes, just in time to meet someone's chest.

Juno smacked into the person, causing both of them to stumble backwards. Slightly drunk and a little dizzy, Junie began to trip over her feet and fall. But before she could fall any further, two hands grabbed her arms quickly, pulling them towards the person.

Junie gasped, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, and looked to meet her catcher. It was the man from the stage, the pianist. Of course it was the man who caught her eye. Her mouth hung open a little bit, trying to form a sentence as their eyes met. His eyes were beautiful and almost looked like they sparkled.

"Uh...Um, I'm so sorry." Junie said quietly, her gaze locked on his.

The man stayed quiet and continued to return the gaze. His eyes bore into her soul and suddenly Junie began to feel like he was reading her like a book. "Seonghwa, right? I'm sorry."

Still, he said nothing. He held her arms still and his eyes searched hers like he was looking for something before his face turned in to one of rage. He pushed her away with slight force, but not enough to cause her to stumble again.

Seonghwa's eyes stayed on hers, anger filling the handsome man's face as he mumbled "Watch where you're going." Junie returned this sudden outburst with silence and a shocked look. He continued to watch her with intensity, willing her to answer.

Junie was too confused to speak. "Uh...Uh...I..." But before Junie could finish, Seonghwa rolled his eyes, muttering something under his breathe and stormed away.

Just like that, he was gone, and Junie was left speechless and stunned. Just like that, Seonghwa had become the attractive man with an ugly temper. Just like that, Junie was catching feelings she didn't understand one bit.

Hey! Sorry for taking so long to update, just started a new job and then proceeded to get super sick. Also, hopefully this chapter isn't too short, too confusing, or too singular character centered. I promise, we're still plot, world, character, and over all story building!

(Also, I did write this while half asleep...haha)

Anyway, I hope you're doing super well, and I am sending you all of the love!
