After seeing Amrit so disturbed, Veer decided to call Anirudh, hoping to get some insight. Anirudh picked up the phone, his tone slightly curt as he answered.
"Hello, Bhai. Kya baat hai?" Anirudh's voice was laced with a hint of irritation.
Veer, sensing the anger in Anirudh's voice, was taken aback. "Anirudh, mujhe Amrit ke baare mein baat karni hai. Woh office mein bahut disturbed lag rahi thi. Tumhe kuch pata hai?"
Anirudh sighed, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Bhai, tumhe pata hai ki Amrit tumhare past se kitni jhujh rahi hai. Tumhare saath jo bhi hua, usse woh abhi bhi struggle kar rahi hai."
Veer was puzzled by Anirudh's tone. "Main samajh nahi pa raha, Anirudh. Tumhare tone se lag raha hai jaise tumhe mujhe blame karna hai. Main sirf uski help karna chahta hoon."
Anirudh's voice softened slightly, but there was still an edge. "Bhai, main tumhare intentions ko samajhta hoon, lekin Amrit ko space chahiye. Tumhare actions ne uske emotions ko aur complex bana diya hai."
Veer felt a pang of frustration. "Main toh bas uski khushi chahta hoon. Agar kuch aur hai jo mujhe pata hona chahiye, toh tumhe mujhe batana chahiye."
Anirudh was silent for a moment before replying, "Bhai, main nahi chahta ki tum aur zyada interfere karo. Amrit ko apne space aur time ki zaroorat hai. Tumhe uski respect karni chahiye."
Veer, feeling more confused and helpless, reluctantly agreed. "Theek hai, Anirudh. Main uski space ka dhyan rakhunga. Lekin agar tumhe lagta hai ki mujhe kuch aur pata hona chahiye, toh mujhe zaroor batao."
As the call ended, Veer sat back, trying to process Anirudh's words. The tension between them and the unresolved feelings about Amrit left him feeling unsettled and uncertain about how to move forward.
Kakkar's
The Kakkar family was gathered around the breakfast table when the news flash on the television caught everyone's attention. The headline was about the horrific rape and murder case of a young girl in Kolkata. The atmosphere shifted instantly; the once lively chatter fell into an uneasy silence as they all stared at the screen.
Harsh , furrowed his brows in concern. "Yeh kya ho raha hai, Radhika? Tumhe bahar jaane ki zaroorat nahi hai," he said, his voice tinged with worry.
Radhika, visibly frustrated, slammed her hand on the table. "Aap logon ko bhi samajh nahi aata! Itne log protest kar rahe hain, hartal kar rahe hain, phir bhi kuch nahi badal raha," she exclaimed, her voice a mix of anger and despair.
Her mother , nodded in agreement, looking at her daughter with a sympathetic yet worried expression. "Hum sab itna pareshaan hain. Aaj kal toh kuch bhi safe nahi lagta," she said, her tone reflecting the general anxiety in the air.
