Chapter 21: I don't need you

At Ken's mansion, his car drove into the compound hoping to see his sweetheart, Kate. When he got inside.
         "Baby am home please come out now" he called out thinking Kate was upstairs, then the Butler who was shaking in fear at the door, Ken turned to him "Where is she?"
         "Sir we haven't seen miss Kate for days now after you left she went shopping with the chauffeur and he came back saying she was adopted" he explained the whole thing and Ken knew who was behind this "Travis" he muttered his name in rage. He took a deep breath and just went upstairs to change and then go find Kate.
      _____USA:At NYC______
Mace was going to a wedding she got invited to course the bride was her cousin and she baked a huge cake for the wedding. She was patiently waiting for a taxi outside of a coffee shop and it was raining heavily and she cursed the weather,she was going to be late.
          Then a black G Wagon stopped in front of the shop and a man came out, the last person she wanted to see on this Earth.
   "What are you doing here?" Giving Sam a sharp glare that could make a little puppy run off.
"Won't you even say hello"
"Excuse me I don't owe you any of my precious time okay, as you can see am waiting for a taxi so please take your golden treasure out of my sight"
  "Mace please hear me out I came here to apologise to you could we just go inside the coffee shop and talk"
"You must be kidding Sam and you think I'll accept your apology, okay since you don't understand what I've been saying. I hate you and your family so just stop pestering my life okay" she said in rage, anger in her eyes.
"Come on Mace I know you're still in love with me that's why you haven't moved on yet, I know you still need me so just forgive me". Mace her lower lips not to cry course she didn't want to show weakness in front of him.
"Listen to me Sam i don't love and I don't want you in my life anymore do you want me to spell it out for,I hate you"she yelled angrily.
"Well I can't get you out of my mind Mace, I love you with all my heart and soul okay I can't just let you go" he held her chin softly and kissed her his tongue savoring her mouth, Mace have been craving for so long to taste his lips so much but she couldn't give in to his temptation, so she pushed him away and ran into the ran. Sam stood there helplessly he wanted to chase after her but she quickly got into a taxi, he let out a deep sigh and then got into his car and drove off.
After the wedding Mace went back to the Motel and just lay on her bed remembering her encounter with Sam today she couldn't get her mind of the kiss, it was so gentle but she shrugged it off.
She have been running trying to avoid him but it wasn't working, every single day she would bump into him and her heart still beats rapidly with excitement anytime she sees him. Ah her heart is still yearning for him.

Mace begin to recall the past of she and Sam and how their relationship started in Arizona.
___Flashback four years ago___
Mace POV
After I met that handsome man at our bakery that day I couldn't stop thinking about him, he was so handsome and sexy, but the problem was he had an arrogant girlfriend, jeez I couldn't stand that girl I was already ready to throw the dough on her face but thank goodness I didn't though. I was already done with class today so I decided to head home and do some of my homework, when I ran into the handsome young man at the bakery at the parking lot and he waved at me. What was he doing here? That's a question he would answer I approached him,
"What are you doing here Mister?"
He just smiled at me making his dimples visible,wow so cute "My name is Sam Austin and you are beautiful?" He said and took my hands and placed a soft kiss on my knuckles, his lips was so soft I feel my face burn at the sensation and I just smiled and said
"Mace Kingsley nice to meet Mr. Austin"
"The pleasure is mine Mace, what a beautiful name for a queen like you" I felt all my blood live my body to my face, his already calling me a queen so lovely.

"I just wanted to apologise for the way my ex girlfriend treated you at your bakery, so I want to make it up to you what about going out to have dinner tonight".
Wow his already asking me out, I need to play cool I don't want him to know am too desperate to go out with him.
"There's no need for that Sam and you broke up
with your girlfriend why?"
"I won't take no for an answer Mace, and about my girlfriend I can't be with a galah".
I finally accepted and that's when that one dinner became multiple dates and he asked me to be his girlfriend and I accepted.
