Yagyhavi's pov:

"Yagyhavi," I heard someone calling my name.

I turned around and saw Jay approaching with Samay in his arms.

"I had a feeling it was you," he said as he reached where my friends and I were standing.

My friends, who were just discussing the next restaurant, suddenly fell silent as they noticed Jay.

Their eyes flickered between Jay, Samay, and me, curious about the sudden interruption.

"Hey, hi," I said, trying to keep my tone casual.

"Hi, what are you doing here? Are you guys also having dinner?" Jay asked, glancing between me and my friends as he gently bounced Samay in his arms to keep him entertained.

"No, actually, we were just leaving," I replied.

"Oh! You're done with dinner this soon?" he said, checking his watch.

I hesitated for a moment, wondering whether I should lie and say that we had finished dinner or tell the truth.

But, before I could decide, Navya spoke up.

"No, we didn't have dinner yet," she said. "We made plans at the last minute and came here, but the reservations here were already full, so we were about to head to another restaurant."

I sighed, knowing that Navya had just revealed the truth.

Jay smiled sympathetically.

"That's too bad. But, you know, you don't have to go anywhere else. Why don't you join us? There's plenty of room, and I'm sure everyone would be happy to have you all there," he said.

I exchanged a quick glance with my friends.

It was clear they were intrigued by the invitation.

"Oh no, no, Jay! Thank you for the invitation, but we don't want to disturb your family time," I said politely, even though I knew Aakriti and Navya were both hoping I'd accept the invitation.

"There's no such thing as disturbing us, Yagyhavi."

"And we're all leaving tomorrow. Don't you want to come and see everyone before we go? Don't you want to meet Ishanya?" he said, persuading me.

Then, turning to Samay, he spoke in a playful baby voice, "Hey, Samay. Tell her to come and have dinner with us."

Samay, who had been looking in the opposite direction until now, turned back at the sound of Jay's voice.

When his eyes met mine, a big smile spread across his face.

"Hey, little one!" I said, reaching out to hold his tiny hands.

He giggled in response and started leaning toward me, gesturing for me to take him into my arms.

To be honest, I was taken aback by this; it was surprising that he still remembered me even after a week.

A week ago, it had taken a lot of effort to get him to come to me, and now here he was, willingly wanting to be in my arms.

I couldn't help but smile as I gently took Samay into my arms.

The warmth of his little body against mine filled me with a sense of comfort and joy.

Jay noticed my hesitation easing and added with a grin, "See? Even Samay wants you to join us. You can't say no now."
