GEORGE WOKE UP in a pit of agony. not only was his face in a lot of pain— he was hungover. he knew he had one too many the night before.

he sat up from his bed and immediately checked his phone for the time. 12:38 pm. he sighed heavily as he fell right back into his bed, causing a throbbing sensation in his head.

he decided to not waste any more time and got up. he walked into his shared kitchen. there sat chris and arthur, both in silence on their phones. they too had drunk that night— but not nearly as much as george.

"hey george—" chris rang out, without looking at him. when he did, a small wince came from his mouth. "you're looking rough."

"oh, thanks," he replied sarcastically. he was in no way motivated to be funny. he plopped himself down on the sofa, groaning as he laid his head back to ease the pain ever so slightly.

"i still don't get why you were on a lime bike to begin with," arthur said, looking over at george. he began to snicker as he saw his arms and legs sprawled out on the sofa.

no words left george's mouth— he just laid there in silence. he wasn't asleep or dead; he just felt non-verbal.

"rowan cleaned it up nice, though," chris pointed out. she had shown arthur the picture of george before she slightly cleaned him up when he was bringing george back to their flat. he looked ten times worse.

a ding could be heard coming from george's phone.

george looked up from his phone, a light smile pressed on his face.
