I looked out my bedroom window at the rain pouring off the roof above. I had wanted to go outside and practice shooting hoops that day, but now all I could do was sit in my room waiting for Rayna to come home. She had been going to school at Julliard in New York. Our family lives in Ohio, so her visiting frequently was way too expensive. Now it was Summer, the time of year when schools gets out, the only time that Rayna could come home. I was more excited then anyone could ever imagine! Well, close enough.
Rayna is the best older sister I could ever wish for. She's funny, beautiful, and musical. I remember when I was six, she would always play dress up with me whenever she would watch me. She'd always trick me into thinking she made my stuffed bunny disappear, then reappear using "magic". Those were good times... Now she is into Music, she plays violin, guitar, flute, and piano. Rayna loves her music, that's why she was excepted into Julliard, only the best musical college there is (Again, my opinion).

"Braelynn! Come quick!" Mom yelled urgently from the living room.
I jumped up from my bed and ran into the room, "What is it?! What's wrong?" I asked.
My mom started bawling uncontrollably, "Eh- Rayna, she, ah AHHH! RAYNA!!!" She pointed at the TV then collapsed on the sofa still sobbing.
"Mom? Mom, what about Rayna?" I looked at the TV screen. I couldn't believe my eyes, on the television, there was a ambulance in the middle of a road with sirens blaring everywhere. A Blue Honda lay on its side dented, along with glass shattered on the pavement, Rayna's car. Next to it lay a red minivan with an injured man standing next to it. I looked around for evidence of my sister. Maybe mom just thought it was her car, maybe it wasn't, maybe-
The news lady on the scene started to talk, "Just hours ago, on this busy highway, two cars collided in an awful wreck. Ryan Green, a victim, is not seriously injured, but has a broken collarbone. The other victim, however, is very injured. Her name is Rayna Q. Travis, an Ohio citizen. She is being sent to a local hospital, where they will try to save her life. Meanwhile, if any of you out there know her, please contact her family immediately. This is Lauren Taylor with your daily news."
I turned off the TV in complete shock, "Uh, Mom? What happened?"
She lifted her head up off the couch. Her eyes were bloodshot, tears streamed down her cheeks, and her makeup was smeared. She tried to saying something, but it just sounded like nonsense. Then she stuffed face in the pillow and continued to cry.
