Top Golf, Storrs, Connecticut
Sarahi's pov"Okay, I'm like really bad at this." I laughed as I yet again missed another shot in the hole. Surprisingly, I was actually have such a good time. We had been out at this golf course for about an hour or so. I could tell Paige was experienced at this and I most definitely was not. She hadn't missed one shot at all and was lowkey showing off to me considering I haven't made any but one.
And that was just luck.
"Here." Paige laughed before coming behind me and wrapping her arms around my body, placing her hands on top of mine. I felt my breath hitch, feeling my backside on her front side, "Okay." I muttered before turning my head and looking up at her. She took her attention off what was ahead of her and looked down at me, letting out a soft laugh, "Let me show you." She said.
"It's easy." Paige leaned in slightly closer to explain the stance and swing technique. Her calm voice was encouraging. We both focused on the ball, and Paige went in with a backswing before hitting the ball, landing it right in the hole, "Wow." I smiled as she unwrapped her warm arms from around me, "See, you're not so bad after all." Paige smiled, "All thanks to me, though." She placed her hand over her heart.
"Don't get so big headed." I let out a laugh. "So, what made you choose golf?" I asked as we took a seat at the table for our course.
"Ehhhh." Paige let out a breath, sitting back in her seat, "It's just something I been into lately. Also thought that you'd like it. It's pretty cool." She explained, making me nod.
"It's okay." I said.
"It's only 'okay' because you suck at it." Paige laughed.
I shook my head, "Whatever." I let out a small laugh at her silliness. "I just don't understand how people get that thing into the hole." I argued.
Paige looked taken back, confusing me, "Pause." She let out a laugh.
"Pause?" I scrunched up my face.
Paige stared at me for a second before shaking her head and waving me off, "Nevermind." She stood up from her seat, "You still hungry? They got food bars up the hill and it doesn't close until another hour." She said, making me stand up.
"Yeah, sure." I gave her a closed lipped smile.
Paige walked up to the bar with Sarahi slowly trailing behind her, "You like cheeseburgers?" Paige asked, pulling out a seat for me. I gladly took the seat and shot Paige a quick smile, "Yeah, love them." I sat up.
"They have more than cheeseburgers but that's the main thing I see they got foreal." Paige said as she flipped through the menu's in front of them. "Here you go." She passed me one.
"Thanks." I shot her another smile.
"Don't mind me, though. I'm a picky eater, I don't know what I want." Paige held her hands up in defense as her eyes skimmed the menu. Sighing, she closed the menu, turned her body and stared at me. Immediately making me uncomfortable, I gave her yet again another closed lip smile as my eyes went from side to side. "You know.." She trailed off, "Let's talk Frank Ocean." She said, making my ears perk up.
I immediately smiled, "You like Frank Ocean? Me too." I said, "What's your favorite song?" I couldn't believe that she was actually into some of the same things as me considering I felt like we were two completely different people. I was interested in this topic, though. I know a lot of people like Frank Ocean but I don't think nobody likes him as much as I do. I literally love him more than my own mother.
"Favorite song?" Paige let out a laugh, "I mean, I like a lot of songs by him. I can't choose." She smirked, "What's yours?"
"It's pretty classic but it's definitely Pyramids. You know off of channel ORANGE?" I smiled.
