PoV: Will
'Hey, what's up?'
Normally, I would have flinched, but this voice was so familiar that I couldn't help but
smile. 'Hey. Just the usual madness.'
'Sounds valid.' Someone touched my shoulder and I turned towards him. 'And you?'
'Same. Just the usual madness.' Nico smiled.
'Help. don't look at me like that.' I closed my eyes for a moment.
'Why? Let me...'
'We're in college', I said while I tried to keep my thought together.
'I don't care.'
'Obviously. Could you...'
'Nah, I won't', interrupted Nico and came closer. 'Everybody should see that you're mine.'
And he kissed me as if we weren't in the middle of the school corridor. That wouldn't have
been a problem, but the kiss was so intense I was hardly able to breath normally. After all I
felt Nico's tongue piercing.
'What was that for?', I asked a bit off balanced.
'For fun', Nico answered.
'Strange kind of fun you're having there.' But gods, how right he was. 'Stop, I can't think
straight.'
'You aren't straight so this is perfectly fine.'
'Focus, okay?' I took a deep breath.
Nico laughed. 'Sorry, I can't.'
'Why?'
'You're still asking?' He scanned me from head to toe. 'You're wearing a crop top and then
you ask me why I can't focus? Think for one second...'
'Okay, maybe...'
'I can't do this anymore. Come with me', Nico said and grabbed my hand so I hat no choice
but to follow him upstairs and into an empty classroom. After he closed the door, he came
closer.
'We're still in school. I mean, not that I'd care...'
'I still don't.'
I wasn't even able to reply because Nico kissed me.
'Damn, Will, with that look... you could make a whole army kneel.'
I tried not to die under his eyes. Speaking of looks... the wings of Nico's tattoo were visible over his shoulders and I couldn't help but stare. This angel on his back hunted my dreams as well as every second I spent awake. 'The world would bow in front of you, Nico', I whispered.
'I don't care about the world. I only care about you. And honestly... I also wouldn't care about anyone bowing or kneeling in front of me.' His gaze was like flames on my body. 'Except you.'
'What?'
'I said what I said. Make whatever you want out of it.'
At this rate I will need a chair. Very soon.
I took some steps backwards to get some distance between us - or I wouldn't be able to think - until I felt the edge of one of the tables behind me. 'Listen, I...' My heart skipped a beat and Nico stole the last spark of common sense in my brain. Because he came closer. So close that my whole distance-idea melted away under his swift steps and bittersweet lips. Only the table in my back kept me from falling.
'What should I listen to? Your heartbeat? Your breath? Your words? Or your wordless reactions?'
We kissed long and intense.
'Do you know why I came here with you in the first place?', he asked then. I shook my head, barely able to hold back.
'I couldn't stand it any longer. It was just... so many random people in the corridor... they were staring at you. You know not like you're normally looking at someone you only pass by. They stared like they expected something from you. I couldn't stand it a second longer. I know it's stupid, but I got so fucking jealous.' He stopped. 'Other people looking at you is enough to make me jealous, wow...'
'Don't say that. I feel the same about you. I swear... Neeks you're making me crazy.'
'I know.' He smiled and kissed me again. And I felt his hands running over the sun tatoo on my left chest.
'We're in college', I mumbled as soon as I was able to breath, again.
'And I still don't care.' Now, it weren't just his fingers I felt on my skin. There was a piece of cold metal.
'Gosh, stop that, it's so cold.' A laugh was rising inside me.
'But it's fun.' Nico looked at me as innocent as possible. 'Also... my piercing is not that
cold.'
I shivered, not only to prove him wrong, more because heat seemed to walk over me. 'Shut
up.'
'Then stop looking at me like... like I was an angel', said Nico much more hesitant that
usual.
'But you are.' My eyes were glued upon him.
'You call that an angel?' He lowered his chin to look at his feet.
'You're an angel, Nico di Angelo. An angel of death.' I threw my arms around his neck to
kiss him.
'Tell me, what on this planet makes me... deserve you?', Nico asked under his breath.
'Just you being there', I replied when I suddenly felt his body everywhere.
He hugged me.
'Come on now, we're late', he said, took my hand, helped me up from the table and then we
walked through the classroom door.
