Welcome, dear readers, to book number 2 of the hanniehae42 seventeen literary universe (or the hannieverse, as i've dubbed it). i'm quite excited about this story because it's one that's been stewing in my drafts for a while (since around halfway through light a flame) and i'm sure it's gonna be something different, so i hope you enjoy it!
to clarify, this book isn't a direct sequel to light a flame - it's more of a loose spinoff, though it is set around the same timeframe (late 2023). it does feature overlapping events and cameos from existing characters, but if you haven't read it, it won't impact your understanding of this book too much. however, if you are interested, feel free to check it out if you want a more rounded experience for this book as well as just a fun romance story.
now, i feel this is an obligatory disclaimer when dealing with a story like this. i am not assuming anyone's sexuality or preference. whilst it is set in the real world, all real people in this fanfiction should be seen more like AUs - retaining some characteristics from themselves in real life but also having other personality traits that i have made up to better fit this narrative. i don't claim that i know seventeen, their reactions or their stances personally so please keep in mind that this is all a fictionalized portrayal of the members that is in no way reflective of their real personal beliefs.
