"So Rocco likes some girl that's not Evie," Krist gossiped as he sat down in bed next to his wife.
Atira mixed her yogurt parfait with a spoon, arching an eyebrow, "Oh?"
"Well he didn't say it was him but you know how he does that shit where he will be like 'someone else was wanting to know,' and all..." Krist searched for the wording he wanted to use.
"Obvious?" She suggested.
Krist nodded, "Exactly," he told her, "Yeah, he's all 'Oh if you love someone can you be attracted to somebody else or does that mean you don't love them?' Some shit like that. I was like, 'Like, yeah, obviously don't be pursuing it or something, and don't be putting yourself in not situation to act on it.' And he's like, 'I know,' so hopefully he don't do nothing dumb."
"I'm honestly surprised to hear he's even thinking about anyone other than Evie, she's all he ever talks to me about," Atira said thoughtfully, "Wonder who this new girl is."
"Man, he barely talks to me about any of that shit," Krist replied, he wasn't gonna front. He felt a little hurt.
She looked at him with soft eyes, "Aw, babe, you're not jealous are you?"
Placing an arm behind his head, he rested against the headboard doing his best to look unbothered, "Hell no."
A doubtful look flashed across her pretty face, "I think he just likes having a woman's perspective..and you know that you tend to be kind of...abrasive...to him at times, like when he asks for advice."
"So...what you're saying is that I'm a dick," Krist grinned.
Atira shrugged, "I mean, if the shoe fits."
He reached for her parfait, "Damn, Atira, tell me how it is why don't you?"
She flashed him a flawless grin, "I still love you anyway."
After stealing a bite, he made himself comfortable, closing his eyes while Atira scratched the top of his head.
"So what happened with you wanting another one?" He asked, "We talked about it and then you never brought it back up?"
The scalp scratching stopped momentarily, "I keep going back and forth...I feel like I missed so much of the early years with these guys. It would be nice to..." Atira sighed lightly, "I guess I wish I could have spent more time at home instead of focusing so much on my career."
"If you want another one, I'm open," he told her softly, placing a hand on her thigh.
Atira looked at him expectantly, "Do you want another?"
Krist stroked his thin beard thoughtfully, "I mean...I am down. I like how things are now but it may not be so bad."
She leaned her blond head on his shoulder, "I like how things are too. Do you think it would change our little dynamic? How do you think the kids would feel?"
"Audrey would fucking love it," Krist replied.
Atira nodded in agreement, "Oh absolutely, she'd be all about a baby...Rocco...he'd give us shit."
"Ugh, right? 'Ain't you too old to be having sex? You're gonna break your little hip!'" Krist said in the high-pitched, Mickey Mouse voice that he used when he impersonated Rocco.
Laughing Atira nodded, "Or he'd tell 'you not bad for a short king. Little buddy still has it in him!' Maybe give you a little pat on the head."
"Man he drives me it's sometimes," Krist groaned.
"You know that's why he does that," Atira replied, pointing at him with her spoon, "The same way you used to rile up Brad."
