The sushi actually wasn't that bad. Yue wasn't entirely present for most of the ordering, and refused to talk more than necessary when they got the food, but after stuffing her face for a few minutes before slowing down she finally tuned into the conversation. It consisted of Nobara needling Megumi, who was having none of it, and Gojo chiming in with a teasing remark every now and then.

Yue found herself just...watching. Watching the relationships build, and allowing herself to feel like she was part of it. Just for a second, she imagined she was going to stay with them forever. Just for second, she imagined...she wasn't Yue Itadori. That she was someone else, and because of that she could actually enjoy the wide array of people she was sitting with. Something like contentment swelled in her chest, and she felt tears burn at the back of her eyes.

She stood, clearing her throat and trying not to let it show as they looked at her.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Don't miss me too much." The teasing was weak, but it did its job in distracting them enough so that she could flee. Darting into the bathroom. Yue leans against the cold sinks and splashes her face with water. Wincing as it pulled on her healing scalp. Letting out a shaky breath, she looked up at herself in the mirror and hated what she saw.

Her hair was dirty with blood and grime, her face was clean only because she washed it. It was falling out of the braid, too many pieces either flyaways or simply out and about. The hair still in it made her wince, knowing it was bound to be extremely tangled. Her clothing was dirty, like her hair, and ripped in obvious places. She looked like she had gone a round with a bunch of zoo animals or something.

Her eyes were tired. It was obvious to anyone who knew her she was pushed to her brink of the day, and all Yue wanted to do was go to bed.

She lets out something between a whine and a sob, letting her eyes shut and head fall forward until her forehead is pressed firmly against the cold glass. Letting herself float in the silence for a long moment, Yue doesn't notice the door opening or closing. She didn't notice the way the clicking of heeled boots went uneven for a moment as the person paused, catching sight of her. She didn't even notice the way they came up next to her.

She did, however, open her eyes and try to school her features when the sink turned on. Glancing to the side she sees Nobara.

The other female's eyes were firmly down on her hands, obviously trying to give Yue some semblance of privacy. Guilt mixed with gratitude in her chest, and she opens her mouth to say...say...okay, she didn't know what. But it would've been SOMETHING to break the clearly awkward silence. However, Nobara speaks first:
