On the other hand in Mumbai Singhaniya boys are in their early morning chaos. It was 6 in the morning when Kabir Singhaniya woke up and came downstairs to have a coffee for himself. He often wakes up earlier than this but last night he returned home late. He was in his office till 1 at night, he would have stayed in his office if his youngest brother has not been home alone.
Today was a big day for Ritvik Singhaniya as today was Under 17 Badminton Championship final.
Kabir was having his coffee on dinning table while checking some emails suddenly someone shouted
"Bhaiya"
Kabir looked at him and glared at him for shouting at him like this.
"What? Don't give me this look. You are the one who has not even took a shower. When will you get ready? When we will reach there? We will get late I will be disqualified and I swear I will never talk to you if this happens" Ritvik said angrily in one go coming downstairs.
Kabir went to him and whacked Ritvik's back of neck hard.
"It's only 6 Ritik we have to leave at 7. We won't get late."
Ritik was as nervous as excited, he didn't realise what he said.
"Bhaiya I am sorry I didn't mean to say that I am just"
"Very nervous" Kabir said cutting him off.
"Yeah" Ritvik said sadly
Karan hugged him and patted his back
"It's okay to feel nervous, don't worry everything will be fine. You have that potential you are the one selected from whole Mumbai. And even if you don't win today it's not the end of the world. Believe in yourself and give your best and leave the rest to fate"
"Thank you bhaiya, I really needed this" Ritvik said.
"You wait till I get ready and then we will have breakfast together"
"Ji bhaiya"
Later they had breakfast and left for Pune. They reached Pune by 11. The match was going to start at 12 o'clock so the school principal told him that he could practice till then if he wanted. Ritvik was walking towards the badminton court when he noticed a little girl standing outside her class holding her ears.
A chuckle left left his mouth and the little girl looked at him angrily.
"Why are you laughing as if you have never received any punishment?" Myra snapped at him.
"I got punishment but I never looked this cute when I got punishment" Ritvik said cutely.
"By the way, why did you get punishment?"
"I did not do my maths homework, today everyone else has to do it except me and only I got punishment." Myra said with a pout on her face.
"You are really very cute" He said pulling her cheeks.
Myra looked at him from head to toe and said "Why aren't you in uniform and don't you have class?"
"Actually I am not from this school, I just came here for a badminton match" He said showing his rackets to her.
"You know my didu also plays badminton and she is pro" Myra said proudly.
"Acha ji" Ritvik said bending to her level.
"Hanji" Myra said standing on her toes."But I'm sure she doesn't play better than me" Ritvik said with a smile.
"And why do you think so?" Myra said squinting her eyes.
"Because I know" Ritvik said smirking.
"Overconfidence is not good for athletes and you can't judge my didu by not even seeing her game" Myra said firmly.
"Okay okay maate, your didu is best. Fine? Now I'm getting late so I'm leaving you continue your punishment" He teased her and ruffled her hair.
"All the best" Myra said with a thumbs up.
"Thank you Penguin" He said while walking out from there.
She laughed when he called her a penguin. If it had been anyone else, she would have gone after him with her shoe.
After sometime the match started and
all students from senior classes were present there as audience. None of the player was from their school so they weren't biased but a few girls were cheering for Ritvik because of his good looks. Ayra was sitting there with her bestfriend Ishant Khurana. Ayra was really excited for the match as she herself loves badminton and Ishan was really happy by seeing the love of his life this happy."Ishant tujhe kya lagta Hain kon jeetega?" Ayra said.
"Mujhe kya pata. I don't even know anyone of them" Ishant said with a shrug
The match was going great from both sides and at they both were at 10-10.
"Ab bta Ishan dono 10-10 par h, kya lagta hai kon jeetega" Ayra again asked to Ishant.
"I think the blue jersey, Sharma" Ishant said after thinking for a minute.
"I think the red jersey, Singhaniya" Ayra said.
"Lagi shart canteen ki treat ki" Ishant said excitedly forwarding his palm to her.
"Lagi shart" Ayra said with same attitude.
The match continued and the both players were at 19-19. Ayra crossed her fingers tightly. The both players were playing with same intensity and after half a minute the shuttlecock fell in Singhaniya's court and he lost the game. Ayra sighed sadly.
Ritvik could not believe it that he lost. He shaked hands with the other player and looked at his brother who was sitting in the first row of audience. Ritvik went to him and hugged him. Kabir patted his back and said
"You played very well and gave tough competition to him. today was just not your day"
"I gave my best bhaiya" Ritvik hugged him tightly.
"I know and I'm proud of you"
