A/N: A little short one, this one is pretty lighthearted.
A serene garden, bathed in the gentle glow of the morning sun. The light filtered through the leaves of a large, ancient tree, casting dappled shadows on the soft, green grass beneath. The air was warm, carrying the fresh scent of blooming flowers and the earthy aroma of damp soil. It was the kind of place that felt untouched by time, a hidden sanctuary where the troubles of the world couldn't reach him.
Jay was lying on someone's lap, their presence soothing to his weary soul. His fingers were threaded through Jay's hair, brushing through the strands with a tenderness that coaxed him further into the warmth of the dream. Each stroke was rhythmic, lulling him into a state of tranquility he hadn't known in a long time. It felt like a silent promise of safety, of care, as if this person was trying to tell him that everything would be alright.
The sound of soft humming filled the air, the melody sweet and familiar. It was a tune that resonated deep within Jay's heart, bringing with it a sense of nostalgia and comfort. The voice was gentle, carrying a warmth that wrapped around him like a blanket. He could feel the vibrations of the hum through the person's body, a quiet resonance that seemed to sync with the beating of his own heart.
Jay's eyes fluttered open, taking in the sight of the garden around him. The colors were vibrant, more vivid than anything he had seen in the real world. The flowers bloomed in shades of pink, yellow, and blue, their petals soft and delicate. The tree above him swayed gently in the breeze, its leaves rustling like a whisper, as if it was speaking to him in a language only his heart could understand.
A soft kiss was placed on his forehead, and Jay almost melted into the sensation. The touch was so gentle, so full of affection, that it brought a lump to his throat. It wasn't just a kiss—it was a silent reassurance, a wordless declaration of love and care. It felt like home, like everything he had been searching for without even knowing it.
The warmth of the sun, the tender touch, the soft humming—it all combined to create a moment of pure bliss. Jay felt his heart swell with a warmth he hadn't known he was capable of feeling anymore. It was as if all the pain, all the fear, had been washed away, leaving behind only peace and love.
He closed his eyes again, surrendering himself completely to the moment. For the first time in a long while, he allowed himself to relax, to feel safe.
Jay's heart raced as he lay there when his sleep broke, barely able to comprehend what he was feeling and seeing. The gentle strokes in his hair hadn't stopped, and his breath caught in his throat as he slowly turned his gaze upwards. His eyes, heavy with sleep, widened as he met a pair of familiar, deep brown ones looking down at him.
"Your hair. . . .it looked soft. I couldn't sleep, so. . . ." Sunghoon's voice was soft, almost hesitant, as if he was afraid of what Jay might say. But Jay could only stare, his heart pounding in his chest.
"You. . . .you're awake. . . ." Jay's voice trembled, barely above a whisper. It was as if he couldn't believe his own words, as if saying it aloud would somehow shatter the fragile moment.
The weight of those words crashed over Jay like a tidal wave. Without thinking, he sat up abruptly, his voice breaking through the quiet of the night. "You're awake! You're really awake!"
The others, startled by Jay's outburst, began to stir, rubbing sleep from their eyes and looking around in confusion.
Loud gasps filled the room as everyone saw Sunghoon finally awake.
Jungwon quickly moved closer, his voice trembling slightly, "Hyung, we were so worried. . . ."
Lin spoke up, her voice steady but laced with the same relief the others felt. "It seems the witch tried to cast the soul bound spell,'" she explained. "It's a dark enchantment where the victim's soul is caged within their own mind, lost in a maze of their deepest fears and memories, searching endlessly for an escape."
