(Ayagi POV)
I had a best friend, he was the sweetest person i knew. Hes popular, famous and beautiful. I always adored him ever since we met. But he had a secret, secret that no one ever expected.

He never liked girls, nor he showed affection to anyone. He always talks to me, and mentions about me, made me so happy that i started to catch feelings for him.

His name was Takato Saijou. Takato was everything I ever wanted in a friend, and eventually, something more. We shared our secrets, our dreams, and our fears. Every moment with him was like a precious gem, shining brightly in my memory before all ''that'' happened.

Few months ago

Me and Takato were hanging out as usual, everyday at school during break time, me and him always sneaks out to go to the nearest playground and hang out there, even tho we were forbidden to go there after getting caught for the most of the time.

We were sitting on the swings, swinging up and down high like a bird, it felt like freedom.

"Hey, Ayagi," Takato said, breaking the comfortable silence. "Do you ever think about the future?"

I glanced at him, surprised by the seriousness in his tone. "Yeah, sometimes. Why?"

Takato looked down at his hands, fidgeting with a small pebble. "I just... I don't know what I want to do. My parents have all these expectation to make me an actor.. i mean my dream is to become a famous actor but, i feel like im just drifting along not really living my own life '' He looked nervous and afraid of the upcoming events in the future.

I placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You'll figure it out, Takato. You're one of the most determined people I know. Whatever you decide to do, I know you'll be amazing at it."

He smiled at me, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "Thanks, Ayagi. I hope you're right."

We sat there in silence for a while longer, just enjoying each other's company.

The next day, everything changed.

While on my way to class, i saw Takato who was talking to a mysterious tall figure. Standing by the lockers i had never seen of that guy. He had an air of confidence about him, and Takato seemed completely captivated by him. My heart sank as I watched them, jealousy and fear gnawing at me.

Later, Takato introduced him to me. "Ayagi, this is Junta Azumaya. He's new here."

Junta extended a hand, his smile friendly but his eyes holding a hint of something I couldn't quite place. Its like saying ''Fuck off, i already hate you'' eyes.

''Nice to meet you, Chihiro''

I didnt quite like how he used my last name, i know its respectful but i never told my last name.. scary.

I shook his hand, forcing a smile. "Nice to meet you too."

''Im going to introduce Junta around the school today so i won't be able to see u much today Ayagi, see u soon!'' Takato said as he held Junta hand and walked away. A hurtful arrow stroke through my heart, felt like It shattered to pieces.
