I'm concerned about Percy.
I think he knows it.
After I gave him instructions he did as he was asked, albeit reluctantly, but he still did it. In silence, which was worrying, because the Percy I know is an absolute chatterbox.
~Time skip to when they're at Olympus BC I don't know what to put~
Standing in the Empire State Building's elevator was rather weird after not doing it for so long. After all, I could just teleport up to Olympus if I needed to be there. No need for these mortal inventions.
"Apollo, do you choose the music for this elevator?"
My face brightens. "Yes! And it's awesome, just like me!"
"...Please get better taste in music. Please."
The elevator dinged, and we got out.
"Well, that's a bit rude Perce."
"Don't care."
"I figured," I sighed and led him down the path. Well, I didn't lead him, since he already knows the way, but you get the point. Hopefully.
We made our way into the throne room, and Zeus looked pissed. Maybe that was an understatement. His grey hair (yep, he's an old man) was frazzled and sticking out in all directions, and his steely grey eyes were dark and murderous. Yay. The air around him was crackling with lightning, and the sky was dark and thunderous.
"Why hello there," Percy said tiredly, earning himself a look that would kill end in him getting killed if he wasn't Poseidon's spaw- I mean, son.
"Shut up, mortal. We have an issue."
"Really? I never would've guessed-"
"SHUT UP!"
I giggled, getting sent the same look that Percy received.
"Apollo, you shut it too," Zeus growled out, before clearing his throat. "Kronos is rising again."
Percy just groaned.
"And we do not need you pathetic mortal's help, but-"
Poseidon interrupted him. "Yes, we do need your help, but my brother over here is too stuck up to admit it."
"I'm not helping."
Everyone stared at Percy blankly, shocked.
"What?" Artemis asked, followed by Athena.
"It's not a choice."
"Help us or die-"
"ARES, ENOUGH WITH THE DEATH THREATS! GOOD US!" (Get that lol? Good gods.. but they're the gods, so.)
Percy yawned. Yes, he yawned, while the Olympians were about to combust and murder him. "Y'know guys, threatening to kill me when you want help is really not the best tactic. Because then you're still not getting what you want."
"The mortal has a point," Athena mused.
"Yeah, I usually do. Also, have you not learned my name yet? That's surprising."
"Enough! Are you helping us or not."
I instinctively squeezed Percy's wrist as I whispered, "Please, Perce. I'll stick with you, I promise."
He hesitated for a moment.
The silence stretched on.
"..Fine."
"Okay. Meeting adjourned," Zeus snapped.
"Wha-"
"GET OUT BEFORE I BLAST YOU TO SMITHEREENS!" Ares yelled gleefully.
"Yep, gone, going!" I flashed Percy and I out.
