I was heavily asleep for a long period of time. All that made me kind of sick. I might even have a cold. I woke up and I saw that Skye was on my chest holding me tight in a suffocating way but i didn't mind. She is physically exhausted too after what happened to her. At least she is okay. I got up and then Skye saw me "Chase you are awake! I was so worried!" "It's okay Skye don't worry. Are you alright?" "Yes. I just injured my leg. And don't you ever put your self in danger again or I will hit that thick head of yours very hard." "Hey no need to get violent haha! If it means putting my self into danger for you, I would do it without hesitation." I mean it was true. She frowned at me and looked away for a bit "Let's go to Ryder. He must be worried too. Some hours have passed since the incident." I nodded and we went outside. Everything seemed a little better now. And everyone was awake. "Chase you're awake!" Marshall shouted and came to me. I could tell he was worried too. He helped me back there though so it was dangerous for him too. "Hello there Marshall. Are you okay?" "Yeah, just a little cold. Come see the others." Marshall took me and Skye but i noticed she was limping "You can stand on me if you want. That leg of yours is being a burden on you" "Thank you." she said while putting a little smile. We went slowly and saw the others "Chase! Thank God you are okay!" Ryder came and hugged me. I could feel his heart bumping hard. "Hey Ryder. Don't worry I will be fine. I just need some rest." then I saw some other pups approaching us. "Hey there Chase. My name is Rubble. Thank you for saving us we owe you a lot. I will do my best as your new Paw Patrol member, you can trust me?" "Oh a new one. Happy to hear someone else is on the team." "And I'm Everest. Thank you back there. And thank you too Marshall, sorry again for having you to put me on your back heh. I will try my best too as a new member." "How did you two happen to be members? Sorry for asking I must have been out for a while." "Yeah it's okay. It's just that I personally now the mountains and the forest pretty well around here. And rubble is great at digging making things and rescuing people. Pretty good at constructions in general. We helped some people that were in trouble around the place. So yeah. We will do our best." she sounded pretty mature and sad at the same time. Probably feeling guilty for what happened. "Don't worry Everest. It would be helpful for having other members in our time. As our co-leader I am glad to have you two. And don't feel guilty." "Now that we now that you the co-leader we feel even more guilty!" Rubble said. He seems young. I threw a laugh just to make things comfortable. "Don't worry. If Ryder accepts you, I accept you too."
Some minutes have passed and I went to Marshall with Skye. "Do you have any bandages? Skye's leg is in a bad condition." "I can see that. Many bruises. It will take some time to recover." "Don't worry guys it's not that much of a fuss." "You need to get better Skye. Just rest. You can have a break." "Chase is right. Recover. All three of us need it after all." we laughed a bit, but it was time for us to get back home. Rubble came with us cause probably he will live with us now. I took Skye in my vehicle and went back home.
The others saw us and where pretty shocked. Ryder and Marshall told everything to them about what happened and were trying everything to make us feel better or help us in anything. But I took some steps further and helped Skye. "Here we are. Your place. Go inside and rest. Get well soon." "Thank you Chase. Oh and well, when I get better, I promise I will take care of you." "Thank you Skye, I appreciate it." i patted her head playfully. I now it makes her annoyed but it could brake the ice. I went and saw the others and properly introduced Rubble to them. He may be younger but he fits in well. But they forced me to go inside my place to rest. Even Marshall, who is in a kind of the same situation as me but probably a bit better. I mean I was out there longer probably because of that. I hope he doesn't say anything about me and Skye and all. I hope she's okay. With that though I fell asleep and took some rest. At least everything went under control. Skye is safe.
