AUTHOR'S POV-

YN sat at her desk, her usually focused mind scattered. The latest financial reports lay untouched before her, and her normally tidy office felt suffocating. The encounter with RM at the café had shaken her in ways she hadn’t anticipated. His face, his voice, the way he seemed so familiar yet so new it all played on a loop in her mind.

Her assistant, Mina, knocked softly on the door before entering. “Ms. YN, is everything alright? You’ve been staring at that same page for ten minutes.”

YN blinked, realizing she hadn’t moved in what felt like ages. “I’m fine, Mina. Just...distracted, I guess.”

Mina approached the desk, concern etched on her face. “Is it about the dreams again? Or something else?”

YN hesitated, then sighed. “It’s both. I met someone yesterday. His name is RM. We literally bumped into each other at the café, but it felt... different. Like I’ve met him before, even though I know I haven’t.”

Mina’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “RM? As in the rookie musician everyone’s been talking about? He’s been getting a lot of buzz lately.”

YN looked at Mina, surprised. “You know him?”

“I’ve heard of him,” Mina clarified. “He’s supposed to be really talented. But wait so you’re saying you feel like you know him from somewhere?”

“Yes,” YN admitted, leaning back in her chair. “And it’s not just a passing feeling. It’s strong, like something is pulling me towards him. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since we met.”

Mina sat down across from her, sensing the depth of YN’s unease. “Maybe it’s not a coincidence. Maybe there’s a reason you two met.”

YN scoffed lightly, though there was no real conviction behind it. “You know I don’t believe in fate or destiny. Everything in my life has been built on planning and hard work.”

“But this is different, isn’t it?” Mina pressed gently. “You’ve been having these dreams for so long, and now you meet someone who feels connected to them. It’s okay to admit that this is beyond logic.”

YN sighed, rubbing her temples. “It just doesn’t make sense. I’m supposed to be focused on the company, on building my future. Not on some stranger who makes me feel like I’m living in a different world.”

Mina reached out and placed a comforting hand on YN’s arm. “Maybe RM isn’t just some stranger. Maybe he’s a part of your future, a part you didn’t see coming.”

YN shook her head, trying to dismiss the idea, but it lingered in her mind. “I don’t know, Mina. I just don’t know. But I can’t let this distract me. I have too much at stake.”

Mina smiled softly. “Sometimes, life throws us unexpected opportunities. Maybe this is one of those times. But you don’t have to figure it out all at once. Just take it one step at a time.”

YN nodded, though the weight of her thoughts remained. “You’re right. I’ll try to take it slow. But it’s hard to ignore this...connection, whatever it is.”

Mina stood, sensing that YN needed some space. “I’ll leave you to your thoughts. Just remember, you don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here if you need to talk.”

“Thank you, Mina,” YN said, offering a small, grateful smile. As Mina left the office, YN turned back to the window, her thoughts still swirling.

She tried to return to the financial reports, but her mind wouldn’t cooperate. Instead, she found herself staring at the cityscape, wondering where RM was at that moment. Was he thinking about their encounter too? Did he feel the same inexplicable pull that she did?

The questions gnawed at her, and for the first time in her life, YN felt truly uncertain about what lay ahead. She had always been in control, always had a plan. But now, with RM in the picture, everything felt different unpredictable, and strangely exhilarating.
