chapter 21

KIM CHAEWON
the day of the dance

it's been a few weeks and it's finally the day of the dance. but right now, it's 6AM. I got up early, my dress is at Sakura's, because we're going to get ready together. I also wanted to surprise yunjin with my dress.

and speaking of yunjin, she's cooking breakfast this morning. "breakfast is ready princess!" she calls out from the kitchen. I smile and go to get my food. my eyes widen. "pancakes?" I ask, as she hands me my plate. "yep, remember you made pancakes on your first day of school?" she says. I smile at the memory.

"it's your favorite food, so I decided to make you it" she says. I blush. "thank you baby" I say, walking to the table, setting my plate down and immediately digging in. she sits down next to me with a gernola bar. "you're only eating a gernola bar?" I ask. "yep, besides i'm not that hungry this morning" she says, then takes a bite of it.

"eat more later okay?" I say. "I will, don't worry" she says, then kisses my cheek.

we arrive at school, and me and yunjin share a quick kiss before we part ways to go to class. but I know I'm excused from classes for the whole day today, because I'm helping set up the dance. which is why gym classes aren't taking place today.

I arrive in the student council room, I'm greeted by Minju. "Hi Chaewon!" she says. "Hey min" I say back, smiling. "Sakura?" I ask. "back room, talking to Kazuha and Eunchae" she answers. I smile and thank her, then I head to the back room. entering quietly. "sorry I'm late" I say softly. "you're not late, we were waiting for you anyways" Sakura says.

"so let's get on with it" Eunchae says, a hint of determination in her voice. I nod and when immediately start talking about decorations, food, drinks and everything in between.

I listen intently, and writing down everything we all agree on. soon enough, the meeting ends. "alright guys, so eunchae and chaewon, can you guys go get the decorations?" Sakura asks. I nod and so does eunchae. then we head out to get them.

eunchae and i walk in silence, then eunchae speaks up. "hey chae" she says. I hum in response. "how are things with you and Yunjin?" she asks. "we're good, we've always been" I say. "yeah, I can tell you two really love each other" she says, smiling. "yeah" I say, smiling myself.

"you're back! and you have the decorations!" kazuha says. "where's kkura?" eunchae asks, then I notice sakura isn't in the room. "she said for me to wait for you here, then we have to meet her in the gym before next period, so let's go" Kazuha says, walking away. me and eunchae follow.

I'm on a ladder, hanging up the banter, Sakura is holding the ladder so I don't fall. I finish taping the banter to the wall, the I climb down. I take a look at it. "looks good" I praise myself, nodding. Kazuha and Eunchae just finished hanging up the streamers, and they have a lot. I walk over to them and I take a streamer and a piece of tape.

Sakura does the same, and soon enough. we finish with the streamers.

HUH YUNJIN
before the dance

I'm doing my makeup, and Kazuha is doing my hair. "you looks pretty" Kazuha says, adding the final touches to my hair. "you think she'll like it?" I ask, looking in the mirror. "it's chaewon! of course she'll like it, in fact she'll love it" kazuha says, grabbing my dress from my bed.

"your sure, the hair might get ruined" I say. "I got you a zip up back for a reason" Kazuha says, handing me the dress. I roll my eyes playfully and go to the bathroom and I change into my dress, but of course I need assistance. I walk out the bathroom in the dress but the zipper is unzipped. "I need help" I say to kazuha. "knew you would, come here" she says.

I walk over to her and she zips up the dress, I let out my breath, and I look at the final result. "wow I look beautiful" I say, checking myself out. "yep, and I just know Chaewon is going to love this" Kazuha says with a smirk. "oh hush Zuha!" I say. she laughs and I chuckle. "come on, you have a dance to attend" she says.

we arrive and right away I notice Chaewon. my heart speeds up once I see her. she looks so breathtaking tonight. I take a deep breath and walk up to her. "hey princess" I say. she turns around and smiles. "hi baby" she says softly, looking me up and down. "you look so beautiful Yun" she says. "I know, but you're breathtaking" I say, then I wink. she giggles. "wanna dance?" I say. "of course I wanna dance" she says, taking my hand.

we both go to the dance, and I wrap my arms around her waist, her arms wrapped around my neck. then we start to dance. "I love you baby" Chaewon says, pressing her forehead against mine. "I love you too princess" I say, then we share a kiss.
