Makomo breezed through the work. For a certified genius, — yes, she was certified; it took three IQ tests, but she ended up with a score of 214 — these classes were far too easy. Since she was homeschooled, there wasn't much for her to do other than to work and train and care for Kota. She spent most of her days completing worksheets and books a few grade levels above hers. If not for her intention of joining the hero course, she would've already been in college.

She stared boredly at Present Mic as he read from the textbook.

"Now, let's try to spot the incorrect grammar with these English Sentences!" He said, "A. He proceeds to bag his groceries before headed back to his apartment. B. He proceeded to bag his groceries before he headed back to his apartment. Or C. He proceeded to bag his groceries, before he headed back to his apartment!" He read aloud in English.

For a person with such a bold personality, he was quite a nerd.

"Hey, Kaminari! How about you give it a go?"

Makomo recognized the name as the boy with the electric-based quirk. She was a genius, yes, but she wasn't very smart with people. Specifically, she struggled with remembering names. It wasn't her fault! She grew up in this world, isolated from kids her age. It was to be expected.

"Uhm, C?"

"Egh!" Present Mic mimicked a buzzer as he crossed his arms into an 'X'. "How about... Izumi! What do you think?"

"B." She said simply. "The verbs are all in the correct tense, the pronouns are where they need to be, and there's no unnecessary punctuation."

It was child's play.

Present Mic's grin widened, if it was even possible. "Correct!" He said, drawing out the vowels.

"Now, what about this one?"

Makomo drowned his voice among the other ravenous thoughts that swayed within her mind.

Lunch came by swiftly. Ashido, Makomo faintly recalled her name, grabbed her wrist and dragged her alongside her friends to grab lunch.

An odd group, they were.

Ashido, Jirou, Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero.

Makomo hummed. She was getting much, much better with names!

Back at the dojo she was in, she only recognized the name of her Master. She had a horrible habit of letting names slip from her mind due to her constant hyperactivity.

She didn't know why this case was different.

"Hey, Izumi! What's your quirk, anyways?" Jirou asked. "Does it have to do with your sword?"

Kaminari and Kirishima perked up.

"Sword?" The blonde parroted.

Kirishima nodded, "That's so manly, man!"

Makomo hummed, pursing her lips. "Nope!" She said with a pop. "That's just for comfort, honestly. And extra protection. My quirk on its own isn't all that great."

Bakugou snickered. "'Course some extra needs a weapon to be a hero," he mocked under his breath.

He was promptly ignored

Sero interrupted. "You threw the ball the second furthest, and I don't think infinity really counts as a score." He deadpanned, "so what do you meant 'isn't all that great?'"

Mina nodded along, "Yeah! Your water is like, super powerful!"

"My quirk isn't generating water," Makomo laughed. "It's called Precipitation. I can control nearby water molecules in the air and manipulate them. If I can gather enough, I'll be able to release it all at once." She explained, conjuring a small cloud as an example.
