Zayan sat on his prayer mat, his hands clasped together as he made dua after his Isha prayer. His voice was filled with sincerity and concern.
"Ya Allah, You are the Most Merciful, all praises are due to You. Ya Rabbi, I am forever grateful for whatever You have given me. I have everything by Your grace, Allah. But today, I am asking for someone else whom I love, Ya Allah. Ya Rabbi, You know the seen and unseen, You can make the impossible possible. Ya Rabbi, heal her heart, my precious Allah. She is in pain, her heart is aching due to the betrayal of her love."
Zayan's voice cracked with emotion as he continued,
"Ya Rabbul Alamin, she is so fragile, she just pretends to be strong. Ya Allah, I cannot see her in pain. Ya Rabbi, it is painful for me to see her tears. Please, Ya Allah, have mercy on her, heal her heart, and wipe away her tears. I beg of You, Ya Rabbi, bring peace and happiness back to her life."
He paused, taking a deep breath before concluding,
"Ya Allah, I know You are the Best of Planners, and Your plans are always perfect. I trust in You, Ya Rabbi, and I know You will take care of her. Ameen."
Zayan's eyes welled up with tears as he thought of Ayliz's pain. He couldn't bear the thought of her suffering, and his heart ached with compassion. He knew he had to do something to help her, but he didn't know what.
After finishing his prayer, Zayan lay down on his bed, his mind wandering to Ayliz. He couldn't shake off the thought that she loved someone else, and that he had unknowingly caused her more pain by teasing her soon to be wify.
"Why did I say that?" he thought to himself, regret washing over him. "I had no idea she had feelings for someone else. No wonder she was always irritated when I joked about us getting married."
Zayan's heart sank as he realized his mistake. He had been so caught up in his own playful banter that he hadn't considered Ayliz's true feelings. Now, he couldn't help but Arwan is the person whom ayliz has loved since childhood but I don't know why I feel like I heard his name and saw him before.
lost in thought, Zayan's phone buzzed with a text from Hana. "Hey, Zayan, how's it going? I've been thinking about Ayliz all day. She's really hurting, isn't she?"
Zayan sighed, rubbing his temples. He didn't know how to respond, but he knew he had to talk to Hana about this. Maybe together, they could figure out a way to help Ayliz heal.
Zayan's fingers flew across the keyboard as he texted Hana. "Do you know Ayliz's favorite food or dishes? Anything she likes a lot?"
Hana's response came quickly. "Chocolate cake! She's loved it since childhood. Why?"
Zayan just replied, "Ok, so just wait for morning."
Hana's curiosity was piqued, but she trusted Zayan's plan. She went to bed wondering what he had in mind.
The next morning, Zayan woke up early, determined to put a smile on Ayliz's face. He headed to the kitchen, preheating the oven as he began mixing and measuring ingredients. The aroma of baking chocolate cake filled the air, transporting him back to memories of Ayliz's bright smile.
As Ayliz entered the living room, her bright smile illuminated the space. "Good morning, everyone!" she said like nothing happened to her.
Hana, Minhu, and Zayan exchanged glances, their eyes sparkling with shock. Zayan gestured to the dining table, where the delicious-looking chocolate cake sat, adorned with colorful decorations.
Ayliz's gaze landed on the cake, and her eyes widened in surprise. "What's this?" she asked, her voice tinged with delight.
Hana and Minhu remained silent, letting Zayan take the lead. He stood up, a warm smile on his face. "I made your favorite chocolate cake."
Ayliz's eyes misted as she took in the thoughtful gesture. She looked at each of her friends, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you, guys. This means so much to me."
The trio sat down, waiting for Ayliz to take the first bite. As she savored the moist cake, she said "wow, amazing zayan, it's really yummy.
Zayan watched her, and gave her a little smile and didn't say anything.
As Ayliz eating the cake, Zayan's gaze lingered on her, his mind whispering a silent promise.
"I know you're still hurt, Ayliz. You're just pretending to be strong, but I can see the pain in your eyes. I love you, Ayliz, and I will do everything to bring back your real smile. The one that lights up the room, the one that makes my heart skip a beat. I'll be patient, I'll be understanding, and I'll be here for you, always."
Zayan's thoughts were filled with determination and affection. He knew Ayliz wasn't ready to open up yet, but he was willing to wait, to support her, and to help her heal.
As they finished the cake, Ayliz looked up, her eyes meeting Zayan's. For a moment, they just stared at each other, a connection sparking between them.
Hana and Minhu, sensing the moment, quietly excused themselves, leaving Zayan and Ayliz alone.
Zayan's voice broke the silence. "Hana told me everything about you and Arwan."
Ayliz's gaze dropped to the table, her expression unreadable "hmm".
There was silence for a moment again
Zayan's voice broke the silence. "You know, sometimes life teaches us lessons in the most unexpected ways. We just have to be open to learning from them."
Ayliz's gaze remained fixed on the table, her expression contemplative. "Hmm."
Zayan continued, "Like how we can't control everything, no matter how hard we try. Sometimes, we just have to let go and trust that everything will work out for the best."
Ayliz's eyes slowly rose to meet Zayan's, a hint of understanding in them.
his eyes never leaving Ayliz's face. "And sometimes, we meet people who teach us valuable lessons, even if they're not meant to stay in our lives forever."Ayliz asked, "When is the meeting?" He explained, "Mr. Mehmood has postponed it for a month due to his busy schedule." Ayliz's gaze turned confusion, "Did you meet him in person?"
He clarified, "No, we only spoke on the phone." Ayliz nodded, then asked, "So we're heading back?" He confirmed, "Yeah, we are." With a quiet "Okay," Ayliz got up from the chair and turned to leave, saying, "I'm going to my room to pack." She departed silently, leaving him to watch her go.
Zayan entered Hana's room, where they were both waiting for him. Hana asked, "What happened?"
Zayan replied, "Nothing. We're going back."
Minhu asked, "When? And what about the meeting?"
Hana looked at Zayan, waiting for an answer. He said, "We'll meet Mr. Mehmood in a month."
Minhu was surprised. "What? Did you meet him already?"
Zayan nodded. "Yes, but don't tell Ayliz. I told her I only talked to him on the phone."
Hana asked, "Why did you lie to her?"
Zayan was quiet for a moment before speaking. " because I don't want Ayliz to meet him yet. I want her to be more calm first."
Minhu and Hana were confused. Minhu asked, "Why don't you want Ayliz to meet him?"
