CHAPTER 5

1st Point of View - Mirai

"Toki! Are you home?" I say, entering the house me and Toki shared.

Silence.

I guess he's still on his mission.. I go to the bathroom and take a brisk shower. After I'm done, I go to my room and meditate. Time goes by quickly when I meditate. After what feels like minutes but was really two hours, I hear a knock on my door. That must be Toki.

I slide the door open to see a slightly exhausted Toki. I hug him tightly and he hugs me back.

"I saw you during your survival exercise. How was it?" Toki asks me.

"You mean you saw me get decked in the face by my Sensei? Well it was embarrassing.." I sulk.

Toki pats my head lightly. "You gotta pay more attention to what's in front of you rather than your older brother.."

"Did you even hear what he said?!" I say, getting angry at the thought of it.

"Yes, yes. Don't worry. You are not a disappointment to me, Mirai."  He reassures me.

"Why were you watching me, anyways?"

"I was about to go on a mission and had to pass the area you guys were fighting at. I noticed her Chakra signature and went to see how you were doing before I left."

"Did you see me beat his ass with that new jutsu you showed me, though?" I ask, curious.

"Yep. I also saw you pass out." Yikes... I wish he didn't bring that up..

"Anyways...." I walk past him. "I passed and we are going to have our first real mission tomorrow!" I get excited just at the thought of it.

"I hope it's what you imagine it to be." Toki smiles at me, walking past me. "Now I need to get cleaned and take a nap." I internally smile.

"Sasuke, I'm a point B."

"Sakura, I'm at point C."

"Mirai, point D.."

"Naruto, I'm at point A, believe it!"

"Go slow Naruto.." I hear Kakashi-Sensei complain.

"Target has moved, follow it!"

"I'm ready, just give me the signal!" Naruto exclaims.

"Now!"

Naruto catches the cat we have been following. The cat, however, doesn't react well and it begins scratching Naruto.

"Can you verify the ribbon on the right ear?" Kakashi asks.

"Yes, Kakashi-Sensei." I reply.

"Alright, Lost pet Torah mission, accomplished." Kakashi says.

"Come here Kitty, is Naruto being a meanie?" I call, reaching out to grab the cat that is fighting with Naruto.

"Can't we get another mission?!" Naruto screams, causing all of us to pull out the earbuds that were still connected.

"Naruto! Keep it down, you're going to make our ears bleed!" Sakura whacks him on the head.

I see Sasuke smirk.

I look down at Torah, petting him gently.

"Oh my little Torah!" The woman cheers, strangling poor little Torah. No wonder why he ran away...

"Stupid cat.. The kitty deserves to be squished." Naruto mumbles.
