Year 840: Shiganshina District

"Oh, dear, (Y/n) please be careful!"

A tired father, Malachai, loudly whines, chasing after his oldest daughter in the shopping plaza. Townsfolk who passed by giggled at the interaction between the two, some jumping to the side to avoid being hit head on. The sun beamed down on the people of the walls, making today one of the hottest days of the near-ending summer. Restaurants had their windows open, salesman had fans, some even dumping water on their necks just to stay cool. And even though it's as hot as it is, the plaza is bustling and as cheery as ever! Eye-catching kites swayed in the deep sky, an abundance of flowers being plants along the cobblestone paths; the world seemed perfect.

With her auburn hair pulled into two ponytails, young (Y/n) ran carefree through the crowd, her only focus was making sure her daddy didn't catch up to her. (Y/n) loves her father. She wants to help him with his work at the military hospital, she'll even wear his badge around the house to mimic him (which her mother finds extremely adorable), and all he'll say is that he promises to make it happen. Even though she's only been on planet Earth for five years, she knows that she's going to do big things for the world. She will become an even better doctor than her dad, helping the scouts in the field and become respected amongst the people in the walls. She will have a loving husband and happy family just like her parents created, maybe even a dog!

Being so caught up in her big thoughts, her little brain didn't process the young boy currently running directly into her. Colliding heads, the two kids fell roughly against the pavement, new scrapes and bruises forming against their little arms and legs. Light gasps were heard, followed by fast steps towards the two kids who both were too stunned to do anything.

"Eren! Are you alright?" A young, black-haired woman appeared to the boys' side, clearly in distress. (Y/n) could only sit up on her behind and hold her pulsing head.

A brown-haired man ran up to the two not long after, visibly concerned as his eyes scoured the scene. He had some thin framed glasses and long-sleeved shirt on, some noticeable stains under his arms as he rubs his face. The boy's mom held his face, frantically wiping off the dirt and blood with her white apron. She seemed relieved that he wasn't too hurt, but the worry still lingered in her eyes. Her blue eyes were bright, almost captivating, but they were outshone by the boy who now stared back at (Y/n). (Y/n) started to notice how much he looked like his mom, even with their different hair colors. Malachai and (Y/n)'s mother, Marri, caught up to the commotion. Malachai held her shoulders tight, his eyes scanning her forearm that had a nasty scrape; blood droplets stained her yellow shirt.

"I am so sorry; my son likes to run around without any awareness to his surroundings" The black-haired woman apologetically spoke to the Sternin's, ignoring the now upset boy.

"Oh, please don't be, we are sorry for not being aware of where we were running," Malachai answered, rubbing (Y/n)'s back, "Is your boy okay?"

The young boy only nodded, still seeming upset by his mother's comment. The man behind him tapped his shoulder, "Eren," and motioned for a more sincere response. "I'm okay, I'm sorry" he mumbled, eyes focusing on his shoes.

"Aw, sweetheart, let me clean your arm for you!" The woman smiled at (Y/n), gently taking her arm and wiping away the blood.

"My names Grisha Jeager," The boys father spoke, holding out a hand for Malachai to shake, "This is my wife Carla and my son, Eren."

"Malachai," (Y/n)'s red-headed father greeted as he intertwined hands, "this is my wife Marri, and our oldest, (Y/n)."

"Malachai, as in Doctor Malachai? For the scouts?" Grisha exclaimed, "As a doctor myself, I appreciate your work!"

Malachai laughed, "Yes, yes, but I promise I am just a normal guy. I'm glad I can be of admiration."

Carla backed away from (Y/n) who was currently staring at the quiet boy, "Would you guys like to join us for lunch? You two can continue your conversation and we can get you out of the sun!" Carla points to Marri's stomach, which is bigger than a melon.

"Oh my gosh I didn't even realize you were pregnant, I'm so sorry" Grisha apologized, "yes, please join us."

"Well, I don't see why now!" Marri smiled, placing her hand on Malachai's arm.

"Hey Eren," (Y/n) waved at him, "race you there?"

The once sad boy now had a smirk on his young face, tightening his shoelaces as he confidently responded, "You're on!"
