A Mysterious Furry-Tale

One rainy night, Ventus was sneaking out in the huge corridors of the castle to get some snacks for their midnight horror movie marathon with Terra. It was his routine when the clock struck twelve while Terra’s role was to help him succeed. The two would spend their midnight watching spooky flicks while eating all the good stuffs their master won’t let them.

Ven poked his head out of the huge door connecting the dining room to the kitchen. Terra was already there and signaled him an ‘it’s all clear’ gesture. They slowly ascended into the pantry and grabbed all the food they want like chocolates, candies, marshmallows, popcorn, chips, soda etc. Their pantry was magical; it can summon any food, according to what the person who goes inside, wanted. However, it is also guarded by Master Eraqus’ magic seal. With the help of a device called the’ magic seal jammer’ they bought from a moogle, the two can successfully pass through but it has a time limit of five minutes.

After getting all they need, the two boys tiptoed their way to the dining room when they heard a voice. Terra and Ventus was nervous when they recognized it was Aqua’s.

“I think I just heard someone…” her voice echoed across the room. Terra quickly ducked ven and himself under a table. He knew it was futile; the lady can easily detect them. However she didn’t, which surprised him.

“Nah, maybe I’m just tired that I’m hearing things…” she yawned and went off. Terra afterwards whispered at ven’s ear.

“You bring all the snacks while I’ll give you a piggyback ride, got it?”

The blonde boy nodded in reply and so they carefully went back to Terra’s room. He has a huge LED TV hidden beneath a wall and a blu-ray player. After they finished preparing everything, the two started watching their fave suspense flick, The Blue Wolf’s Revenge.

It was a movie about a werewolf who murders people who commits crime and eats them alive. It would even harm people who are related to those bad guys. At the midst of the movie, they suddenly heard Aqua’s voice again.Ven quickly grabbed the remote and turned the TV off. The boys went silent and tried to listen outside. They heard loud and heavy footsteps and it was getting louder till they realize it was outside the door. Afterwards the atmosphere was eerie silent which made the blonde tense.

“T-Terra…help m..eee..” Aqua’s voice boomed all of a sudden. She was in pain, which alarmed the chestnut-haired man.

Setting the fact that their ‘secret’ will be discovered, Terra stood and was about to check her but he froze when the doorknob clicked open and slowly turned. He swore he locked it beforehand, and then he realized that Aqua can easily open it using her magic. What tensed the two boys is that they heard a gnarling sound and a deep inhumane laugh.

The door busted open and saw Aqua drenched in blood, her body was full of wounds and her eyes were wide open.

“H-help…”

She then fell in the ground, and a huge blue wolf was behind her. It looked exactly like the one in the movie they were watching, the blue wolf.

“I-I-it’s the wolf!!” Ventus stuttered. 

The creature took a big step forward, stepping at aqua’s body and said, “Who’s next!!?”

Terra tried to summon his Ends of the Earth keyblade but to his surprise he can’t! So does to ventus. The wolf snarled when that realization hit unto them.

“Can’t use your keyblades, huh? What’ll more surprise you idiots is THIS!”

The wolf threw their unconscious master’s body right in front of them, lying beside aqua’s. Ven was shuddering in fear while Terra tried to fight the creature by physical strength; however it endured every punch he threw.

“A futile effort.” Its voice echoed and hit terra hard, making him unconscious.

Ventus, filled with both nervousness and fear, exclaimed. “W-what do you want from us?! Are you an unversed?!”

“No. I am not, you hopeless sleepyhead. But I can be your worst nightmare if you continue to steal food from the pantry!” It bellowed. The boy stood with a puzzled face. “If you won’t stop this nonsense, you will see me every night, and you would not dare to.” It continued.

The azure wolf locked its vivid blue orbs at ven, which made him confused since the one from the movie had yellow ones. Suddenly it lunged toward him and soon his vision went all black.

“Ven! Hey Ventus!”

He opened his eyes and saw Terra next to him. They were back at the kitchen again, like nothing happened. “W-wha?”

“You’re spaced out a while ago. C’mon, let’s go to the pantry.”

The blonde boy nodded when he noticed something in the corner of his eye. A dark blue fur.

“N-nah! I’m done with this! Let’s just forget it!” Ven nervously said then ran upstairs leaving Terra behind.

“Now what the heck has gotten into that brat’s head?” He groaned and scratched his head…not knowing something was lingering behind him…
