Chapter 39: Ruination

The sound of footsteps, light and gracefully approached. Not the mountainous thunder claps of the Gedo's footsteps, or the loud thud of the Kyuubi's paws. Tsunade wondered if it was a Shinobi, lost in the fog trying to find his way out, but she knew that was a stupid guess. She could feel the dark chakra approaching, hadn't she witnessed Naruto's leg being crushed by Sasuke ? The footsteps drew closer, the silhouette of a tall man, in his right hand he grasped what seemed to be a staff, dark orbs floated behind him like planets. Tsunade gasped as his purple eyes pierced through the smoke, his body stepping into view. He wore a long flowing robes, marked with 10 tomoe marks across the collar like that of a Sharingan. The staff was tall and metal, the metal rings seemingly floating as if gravity had no right to bare it down. His leg repaired, a venomous grin played across his face.

"So ... Shall we begin ?" Boomed Naruto, the new incarnation of the Sage of six Paths.

Obito recoiled "W..What have you done ?!"

Naruto pointed his staff "What you failed to do, what you tried doing for years ... Seal the Bijuu, gain the power of all beasts combined"

Obito sneered "You have no idea what to do with such power! You are not worthy of it"

Naruto slammed the staff down, a whirlpool of screaming winds shot out, the Shinobi shielded their eyes and grounded their feet, least they tumble over in the dusty wind.

"On the contrary, I know exactly what to do with this new power. First I'll wipe out the last remnants of the Uchiha, forever ending their wretched existence on this tainted world"

Sasuke wiped his blade on his sleeve and snarled "The hell you will, The Uzumaki clan is the one to end today! We will kill all your subordinates and leave you in graves by days end"

Naruto grinned "What do you mean by 'we' ?"

"The Uchiha and the Shinobi of this village, despite my hatred for them, we are facing a common enemy"

Naruto was on the edge of laughter "Do you really think they are going to fight me ? Look at them, they are terrified"

Sasuke turned, the Shinobi stared back with wide unblinking eyes, some of them were on their knees bowing to the reincarnated figure that stood before them. The fear was as thick as smoke, Sasuke knew full well that these ninja were beyond raising arms against such a powerful human, if he was still considered human that is. They would not have been of much help however, all Sasuke needed was help from stronger ninja like Obito or perhaps Tsunade. Naruto continued, his voice melodious with humor, all he saw below were frightened sheep.

"Let's strike a deal, eh Konoha ? Surrender to me now, allow me to have my own little battle with these Uchiha and do not interfere. Then I will let all of you live, even those who have brought me great pain and suffering, you know who you are. You will all be absolved of offences and I, Naruto, will lead you into a brighter future ... OR YOU CAN ALL SUFFER LONG GRUELING DEATHS, YOUR FAMILIES WILL ONLY KNOW SUFFERING FOR THE NEXT DECADE! "

One of the Shinobi cried out "AS IF YOU GIVE US MUCH CHOICE !"

Naruto shrugged "A true Shinobi would gladly die right here for his village. Now tell me, how many of you would gladly die right now ? Raise your hand"

No one moved, the Shinobi only looked away.

"RAISE YOUR HAND !" Naruto screamed
