Langley Mansion break in part 4

As winnie continued to search through the mansion, she searched as any rooms she could. but did not find wilbie or the sisters in any of them..

" come one..these girls have to have a torture chamber around here somewhere " winnie said to herself..

she then entered into a lounge looking room. were she saw a large fire place..bookshelves .many animal heads along the wall, as well animal throw rugs on the ground...from wolves to bears..she then looked up to see a painting of man above the fireplace. with a name written on plaque, " Richard Langley the first.. "

" she rubbed her chin for a moment as she looked at the man in the image..something about him seemed familiar...

just then she heard voice coming from outside the room, and ones she knew weren't her friends...they were also getting closer to the room..

winnie gasped as she looked around for a place to hide...


" I don't care if he told you to not to come in here, " my husband he's been complaining that it's been getting to dusty in here for the past few months. I told him this would happen if he didn't get it cleaned once a week " a women said entering the room with a few what appeared to be maids. the women also spoke in a English posh accent..

" I want for you three to get this room spiffy'd up before he returns, " she said looking around the room. " that means clean the walls , wash the curtains, dust the desk and shelves.." she said.

she then walked passed winnie who had laid herself flat on the ground with her arms and legs spread out and mouth gaping open. pretending to be one of the animal throw rugs..she now knew this must of been the Lanigly sisters mother by the sound of it..

" yes mam we shall have this place looking good and tidy before he returns home tonight. " one of the maids said..

" great, you three get onto that, " she said as she was about to leave the room. she then notice winnie who was on ground..she walked over to her and examined her a bit..

" hmm..this must be a knew one Richard had bought. I don't know what he sees in having dead animal skins laying around the room " she said shaking her head.." but I wouldn't mind so much if he didn't buy such..tasteless ones.."

winnie growled a little to herself but still stayed competently still....

" well I'll See to that is fixed..Mary, Olivia ! " she called out to two of the maids. who both quickly made there way over to her..

" Yes Mam ? " they both said..

" please take this rug down to the laundry room and have it cleaned and do find it something better to wear then that torn dress. " she said.

" Yes mam right away " they said,


" And tina I'll send up another two maids to help to clean this office.." Mrs Langley said as she left the room.

winnie gulped knowing that she was in for a bit of a ride now.. as the two maid picked her up..

" oh my..this rug is heavy..and..it feels rather warm. almost as though it were still alive " Olivia said..


Meanwhile.....

In the dark and cold airvent's, Barbara crawled along taking many twist and turns, leading her to a few dead ends....though most importantly other rooms, though none where she saw her caretaker being held in, but grew more and more determined to find him as she made her way deeper into the maze of vents...she stopped though as she felt something soft wrap around on of her legs..

she glanced down as she notice a large ball of dust she had stepped into..she tiled her head as she lifted her led up to examine it better..she had stepped into a dust bunny of some sort, so she attempted to shake it off..but it stuck to her leg with no sign of slipping off..she rolled her eyes as she just continued to make her way forward..having stepped in another dust bunny again......she looked down and mentally sighed..

Elsewhere in the mansion, Amber and Amanda were busy searching around through the mansion, hoping to find wilbie before he got away. but much like the ghoul girls whom they had not realized where in the house. were not having much luck in doing so,

" Drat. were could he be ! " Amber cursed.." do you think he got away already ?

" I don't know, mean, we locked the outer gates to the mansion after he left. it's be difficult for him to get through that, " Amanda stated.

as the girls continued to look for him they then bumped into there mother who was just turning around the a corner,

" Ah girls there you are. I was just on my way out into town. " she said to the both of them. she then notice it looked like they were in the middle of something..

" um..are you girls looking for something ? " she said arching a brow,

" who us ? oh not at all" Amber said sweetly as amber did the same..

there mother looked at them suspiciously, " hmm. well anyway your father will be home tonight around 9:00. I'll be back before then, but until then, I trust you won't be up to any trouble is that right " she said a little sternly .

both the sister looked at one another and sheepishly grinned.." hey. we aren't going to be doing anything today. we promise. " Amanda said ,

" Yeah were just planning to watch some movies later, maybe go over the next fashion catalog ? " Amber added..with a slight sheepish grin,,

there mother just looked at them both seeming to read through them..but she then shrugged." oh yeah, you go ahead and do that, just ask one of the chiefs on what you'd like for dinner then " she said as she began to make her way towards the foyer door,,,she stopped when she notice it was wide open..

" you girls wouldn't happen to know why this is open would you ? " she said eyeing up the both of them..

both the girls began to sweat as they glanced at one another.."

" Oh yeah sorry mom..that was my fault " Amanda said,then glanced as Amber..." well I mean..It was both our faults..." she she said as Amber shook her head annoyingly

she gave one last look with a raised eyebrow, then began making her way out of the house. " well remember to keep it closed Next time, you'll let in a draft. " she said shutting the door behind her..

they both then sighed...

" Alright..it appears no one has run into him yet..but the door being wide open means he might have escaped. " Amber said.

" wait ? look at the floor ! " Amanda said pointing to it. there was what looked like to be muddy paw prints all over the floor...that there mother didn't notice,

" who or what could have tracked those in ? "

" I don't know. ? " amanda said looking out the window to notice that poochie wasn't at his dog house..in fact his collar was laying on the ground which was still attached to the chain on the dog house..and a trail of his prints had led up to the house

" Hmmm..I think wilbie might still be in the house. " she said rubbing her chin with a smirk..." and I think we should go find him before little poochie does "

" I don't think we'll ever find him in this place any time soon, " Elsa said. " we already checked like 20 rooms. "

" well, we can't give up, he's probably counting on us to find him " Phantasma said,,

" well..I been thinking..what if he's not even here ? "

" what do you mean, this is were Helen said he'd been invited to ? "

" yes I know that..but what if they took him somewhere else..what if they knew we'd try this.? " Elsa stated..which caused phantasma to ponder the thought for a moment,,

" gee..well..if that were true..why would they bother locking down the place so tight, I mean aren't you the one who said they lack basic intelligence ? "

Elsa chuckled a little.." yeah..I suppose our right about that, "

" seems like we have nothing to worry about. " phantasma giggled..
they both shared a little laugh as both the ghouls then began making there way down another hall, but not too long after they had left that area the were previously in, Wilbie entered it from another Hall..

He stopped to look around at his surroundings,..He can see why the sister's blind folded him when they brought him to there room, he had no idea where he needed to go...he sighed as he was about to try his luck down another hall, as he was about to make his way down it, he suddenly hear a growling sound come from behind him...

He stopped in his tracks as he turned around to see Poochie come around the corner...

wilbie froze in place as the dog took notice of him, it stared at him for a moment the growled, baring it's sharp rows of teeth...


" heh heh..Hey..Nice boy.." wilbie said backing up a little. as the dog began to edge it's way closer...

wilbie looked back behind before turning his attention back to the dog, he grinned as he then quickly made a mad dash down the hall Poochie then let out a loud snarl as he began chasing wilbie down the hall and though the mansion. ..

" hey down boy !!! stay back !!! " wilbie yelled as he was chased by the dog...

....


did you her something ? " Tanis said to sibella as the two where searching around In an art gallery..

" what do you mean ? " she asked...

" I thought I heard a dog barking ? " tanis said..

silbella listened out for a moment..but heard nothing of that sorts...

" I'm not hearing anything.." she ,said.

" yeah...I guess I'm just hearing things.." she sheepishly chuckled..


as they continued to search around.. both of them then perked up when they heard the sound of a dog barking wild around somewhere....

" Okay..now I hear it.." sibella said..

" it sounds like that awful guard dog.." tanis said..

sibella nervously laughed a little.." heh heh.. Maybe we should speed things up a bit.." she said pushing Tanis along....

Mean while in the laundry room..


" alright. let's get this thing into the Tub. " one of the maids said as had just filled it with soapy water making it now ready to clean the Rug, A.K.A winnie. who was still laying still on a laundry table..she did her best not to make any movements or expressions as two the maids picked her up and brought her over to the tub...

winnie braced herself mentally as she was then dumped into the water...luckily the women grabbed a hold of her shoulders and brought her head above the water. so she could at least breath and continued to remained motionless..
however the began to scribe her head and face with brushed..making sure to get it clean..

to winnie this was torment, and having to try her best not to give herself away was hardest..but she managed to keep it together..and so after being treated like nothing more then dirty laundry, winnie was taken out of the tub dripping soaking wet and brought back over to the table..

the maids then turned away and began to discuses what they were going to do next..
winnie used this time to spit out a bit of water from her mouth,,
she could not believe this. she came here for her friend in hopes to rescue them, and now she's being treated like laundry....what ever happens. wilbie is really going to owe her for this one.

Back in the air vents

Barbara however was watching the scene from one of the air vents covers as winnie continued to get a cleaning...if she cold she'd probably let out a small chuckle..though she herself wasn't looking to clean as she had multiple dust balls all over her body now, having gotten them stuck in her hairs.., she continued to make her way through the air vent's in search of her human companion, however she was begging to notice something off around her....the walls of the vents were begging to be lined with white streams all over.....she then felt her legs beging to get harder and harder to move...she looked down and notice that she was crawling through what looked liked cobwebs....she lifted her leg as she the strand of white silk stretched with it..she she then looked ahead as saw many large cobwebs sprung across the way in front of her...one's she was going to have to wade through.....

wilbie continued to run as the poochie tried to bite and snap at him...wilbie quickly ran into one room and shut the door behind him..feeling the dog crash into it and begin clawing away at the door..

willbie looked around the room and grinned when he saw lot's of furniture., he quickly ran over to a large dresser and pushed it against the door..and back away..he sighed to catch his breath...he then notice the dog stopped pounding on the door...wilbie cocked his head as he walked up to it and put his ear on the door...he then heard growling...but it didn't sound like it was coming from the other side..

he quikly spun around to see Poochie standing in the room behind him...

" Wha !? but how !? " he said as he saw that there was another door in the room. one that connected to the another room..to which wilbie guess had a door that allowed poochie to get in...

" you know..one of my best friends is related to the canine family. " he sheepisly said..

Poochie however ignored him. and began to snarle and run at him...wilbie once again began to try an avoid his chaser as they ran around the room... eventually he managed to exit the room and back into the hall with the dog still snarling at him...

" come one..I'll give you a bone !! " wilbie yelled..he then looked ahead and widen his eyes as he saw a maid pushing a cart who looked up and notice him..but before wilbie could stop he crashed into the women's cart.. and got sent flying onto it. causing it to roll with him on it down the hall...

" I say ! " the maid said not sure how to react to that..she was then knocked over by poochie who ran right through her....

wilbie held tightly onto the cart as he rolled through the hall. looking back to see the dog still trying to catch him...

he looked ahead to see the end of the hall and two directions that it slit up in..he quilky leaned his weight on the left as it made the cart turn down that direction at high speeds..
poochie How ever didn't have time to react as he smacked into the the wall..causing a painting to get knocked off and fall into him...
the dog just groaned and layed there....

Back in the laundry room...


after finally have been dried up with the maids having both used towels.. and now they were getting ready to dress her up. they had already placed a big pink bow on her head and one on her tail....

" hmm I think we should give it a pink ruffled dress, that would look nice. " one of the women said.

" oh yes I agree, " the other agreed.

winnie shifted her eyes at them, feeling worried now.." keep it together winnie..don't give yourself away. " she thought to herself.

" Oh but first I forgot to mention. mrs. Langley want's us to trim the claws on the end of it. she said it's a safety hazard.

" right, well then. how should we do that " the other maid said.

" I'll go get poochie's claw Filer " one of them said.

" okay. sounds good. I'll get the clothes ready while you do that. " the other said while the other left to get the claw timmer.

winnie gasped...having a bath was bad, being dressed up was bad...but No way was she letting them take her claws away. with that being the final straw she jumped up and got off the table and began to sneak away from the two maids..were she then quickly and quietly exited the room..

when the maid turned back around to see if the dress matched ..she saw that she was gone...

" uuuuh...were did the rug go ? " one of them said confusingly.....

they both then began looking around but of course could not find her anywhere..

" well this makes no sense..it couldn't have just got up and walked away.."

" maybe it came back to life " the other teased a little, then cleared her throat.." eh..come on let's go find out what happened to it...

winnie ran down the hall in hopes to get away from the maids. she knew she risked a lot by sneaking away. but her claws where at steak, now all she knew she needed to do was find wilbie and get out of this place. * crash !!! *

Winnie felt herself collide into something, as she shook her her head she saw that she had indeed run into someone, that being Elsa,

" winnie. what on earth are you doing ? " Elsa said picking her up by the scruff of her neck fur, and standing her back up....

phanty then popped up. " and what's with the bow's ? " she said giggling..

winnie grumbled to herself.." I don't want to talk about it...and I don't want you to mention it, " she said tearing them off her fur. " so any of you have any luck in locating wilbie ? she asked

" none what so ever. I think we searched every room so far. " Phantasma said..


" ugh. well it shouldn't be this hard to find him, "

" Girls there you are ! " They heard sibella say in the distance....

they all looked over to see sibella and tanis approach them.

" I take it you had no luck either ? " winnie said crossing her arms.

" well no...but there are still more places to look..those sisters can't have stowed him away far. " she said..

as the ghouls discussed the issue, the langily sister's who were also busy still looking had then taken notice of the ghoul girls at the end of the hall..they quickly jumped off to the side to hide,,

" What on earth..is that those creepy ghoul girls ? " Amber said peeking around the corner..

" It is..what are they doing here...how did they even get in here ? " Amanda said itching her head..

" I don't know..but they are so going to pay for coming into our home,," Amber said about to walk out and give them a piece of her mind when suddenly Amanda grabbed her pulled her back..

" Wait..I think..I think they might be here for there loser friend. "

Amber looked at her a bit confused.." oh is that so..well they can't just break into people's home's uninvited..i'll let them know what she said about to walk out again when Amanda pulled her back..

" actually..I might have a better idea.." She said with a devious smirk..


" well, well well. what do we have here. some sneaky creeps it seems " Amanda said stepping out from around the corner..

all the ghoul's then turned there heads to see both Amber and Amanda standing

all the ghouls then stood there shocked..knowing they been caught now...

" you two. ! " winnie groweld turning to face them...

" just what do you creeps think your doing here. you certainly weren't invited. " Amber said

" No we weren't. but we do know that you did invite out friend over " sibella said pointing at them

" yeah. and knowing you two. you'd never want hang out with someone like him. ! " Elsa said next.

" And we know you done something awful to him. and your going to tell us where he is now !" winnie growled..

How ever both Amber and Amanda just glanced at one another before breaking into an histarical laughter..which caused the ghoul girls just to exhange confused looks..

" what's so funny ? " winnie said..

" oh come one..can't you ghoul fools take a guess. or a hint..." Amber chuckled..

" yeah. I mean do we have to explain it to you. ? " amanda said.

" explain what ? all we came here was for our friend. " winnie pointed a claw at them..

" oh really now..let me get this straight...you five all broke into our house. thinking you needed to save your friend from some horrible torment we had planned for him I bet ? " Amber said smugily.

" eh...uh well...yes...we know you two are never up to any good. with your history. all you ever done is torment us...and we know you never liked wilbie form the moment you first met him..." phantasma said.

" oh gee is that so...I'm sorry to burst your bubble...wait...no I'm not." Amber chuckled " .anyway. your little friend wan'ts no more to do with you girls...can't you see. he's ashamed of you...embarrassed..
he know's he'd never make it in this town let alone the world if he was known as the boy who hangs out with ghouls like you..." she said with a devoious grin.

" that's a lie...he'd never think of us like that ! , " winnie shot back..

" yeah. wilbie loves ghouls. " tanis said

" oh ..sure..maybe he did once..but now..he's begun to realize having ghoul friends isn't all that it's cracked up to be " Amanda said with a chuckle.." he knews he'd have a better life without the likes of you in it. he much rather hang with his own kind from now on, in fact he said he much rather be our friend then yours. "

" friends with you ? " sibella said surprised. " come on..you don't expect us to believe that do you ?.."

" Yeah that's a real laugh. " Tanis said as well,

" sure laugh all you want smellis...but your little rescue attempt was all for nothing..expect maybe to show that you are not wanted by anyone..so with that being said..you can kindly leave before we call decided to call the cops. " Amber added..

all the ghouls looked as though they took that statement a little heavily..but then shot a glare back at the.

" No..we know you brat's are lying..we know that's not what he thinks...so you better tell us where he is Now ! " Elsa said sternly..

" yeah or we'll make you sorry ! " winnie said baring her claws and sibella bared her sharp fangs...



both the sister's widen their eyes....the soften them again...


" oh..you want your friend then huh...well your never going to find him in time.." Amber said as both the sisters suddenly took off running away down the hall.. which caught all of them by surprise..

" come on girls ! after them now !! " winnie pointed as she got on all fours and began to pursuit them down the hall... " they'll tell us were wilbie is when we catch them !! "

all the other's quickly followed suit...


" quickly Amanda, !! to the anti Ghoul Kit !! " Amber shouted !! "

" Oh yes..I always wanted a reason to use that . " amanda said rather evily.



soon a chase scene emerged between the ghouls and the langily sisters. they ran all through the halls . with many twist and turns, the sister begin rather quik on ther feet much to the surprise of the ghouls..but they managed to keep right behind them at all times...

" you may as well give up...were going to catch you ! " winnie yelled..



Amber and amanda ignored them and continued to run until they came to the main foyer of the mansion again, were they ran down the stairs and by the main entrance and to a large wooden cabinet that was up against the wall..
they wasted know time as they opened the door and pulled out a small white Box...

" ha ! I wouldn't come any closer if we were you. " Amanda said with a wicked grin..as the ghouls all stoof right bhind the, cornering them,.

" and why not ? " winnie said raising an eyebrow at them..

" because..we have have thing's in here we know you won't like. we been touching up on our knowledge of ghouls,,and what they fear " she chuckled.." Like this ! " she said as she held something in her hand..which was a silver bullet..

winnie gasped when she saw it. as well as the others...

" that's right..a silver bullet. a natural enemy to a werewolf " she grinned.. " now you better leave here and forget all about your human buddy or I'll use it !! "

" wait..so you girls have a gun on you too ?! " sibella said a little shocked...

amanda looked around a little awkwardly then cleared her throat.." what ? of course not......but this is still a silver bullet.." Amanda said holding it in her fingers toward winnie..who didn't even flinch...

" umm....then really it's useless..no gun means you can't fire it at me.. " winnie said shaking her head..

" wait..so the bullet alone doesn't bother you ? "

" Nope.." winnie said..

" then ?...then why does it matter if it's a regular bullet or not ? " she said looking at it confusingly before tossing it aside...

" but don't worry..we still have more in this kit. " Amanda said rummaging through it next. she then pulled out some Garlic..

this caused sibella's eyes to widen and back away a little..

" that's right..Garlic..we know you ghost's hate that !!! " Amber said pointing it at phantasma...

which caused her to stare at them confusingly...

" Uuuh..I think you got the wrong ghoul " she pointed out..

" oh.. uh really ? ...then which of you hates it ? .." Amber said looking at it..when winnie suddenly slapped it out of her hand and growled at them..

both the sisters then backed away from them laughing nervously " eh...you better not try anything funny...we mean it ! " Amber said now clearly frightened..

" you two have really pushed my over the limit now ! " winnie said edging closer to them growling..

both the sister backed up into a corner..looking fearfully at them...

" well..sense your older Amber..you may go first..like you always do. " Amanda said taking cover behind her...

" oh but please..beauty before age I thought you always say " she said pushing her in front of them...

" how about you tell us what you did to wilbie and I won't have-.." winnie was trying to intimidate them when suddenly she felt something land on her head...she looked up and pulled what ever it was off..

" Barbs !? " she said a bit stunned..seeing the spider on her paws...cover in dust bunnies and cobwebs..." the spider looked up at her and brushed some of the dust off with her legs, winnie then looked up to see the open air vent above them..that she had fallen through,

" heh..well then..nice to see you " she said...she then widen her eyes s they then turned devious, and looked looked at the sister who were looking at the spider fearfully...." Actually..I know just how to mess with you.." she said petting the back of the spider..she then held out Barbara in front of them

" aaahh !!! Please get it away !!! " both the sisteres said as she dangled Barbs in front of them...who looked like she was clearly enjoying getting to scare them...as she wiggled out her legs..

" Please..I can't stand spiders !! " Amber yelled..

" aw what's the matter..don't you want to pet her ? in fact she loves to be held.." Tanis said in a teasing manner..

" what no way..get it away ! " Amber said, revolted..

" Yeah there so icky and...hairy !! " amanda said sounding shaken with fear..

" then your going to tell us what you did with wilbie " sibella said sternly..

" alright ! alright ! " Amanda yelled.." but we have to be honest..we don't know were he is ! "

" that's not a good enough answer " winnie growled as she brought the spider closer..to them..

" we mean it...he got away a while ago and we can't find him...ew ew...please away with it, ." Amber said..

" yeah we been looking too !! " Amanda added..

" what were you two planning to do do him, ! " Elsa asked sternly..

" yeah and you better not have done anything really Mean to him " Tanis said sternly as well,...

but before both the sisters could awsenr her. they all then heard something coming from the up the stairs.....and it was getting closer fast...

they all looked up to see wilbie get sent flying down the stairs on top of the cart he was still on..

" I can't stop this thing !! " he yelled..

" watch out !! " tanis shouted

but before anyone could react..* crash ! * wilbie's cart had collided with everyone in the way..and so everyone was laying on the ground groaning on pain...

once all the ghouls had cleared there heads. they all gasped when they saw wilbie..and what he was dressed in...

" Wilbie !? " they all said in usion..

wilbie who layed on his stomach groggily looked up and smiled.." oh..hey girls..glad to see you could make it..heh heh heh " he laughed before his head collapsed back down onto the ground......

later...


" you girls have a lot of nerve...I mean I knew you were cruel..but this is a knew low.." sibella said sternly as she stood, on the house porch.. with all the others including wilbie who was now dressed back in his regular attire

" yeah..attempting to brainwash him..you girls lack the basic equipment to do that " elsa said shaking her head and tisking...

" I thought it was intelligence ? " phantasma said..

" look..you have your little friend now..so you can kindly leave.." Amber said trying to shoo them away..

" you two are nothing but trouble..your lucky I just want to forget about the event's today " wilbie said clearly annoyed, but just wanting to go home.." I have a video game to beat still.

" yeah .well you know what..do what you will together..so what if you have a human friend..he's basically a ghoul in nature..so he completes your little freak show. " Amanda said.."

" yeah..we thought we could teach anyone basic human knowledge..but you wilbie are what we call a lost cause..so please enjoy being that.." Amber said crossing her arms and turning away...

all the ghouls looked as though they were about to snap back at them when wilbie placed a hand on sibella's shoulder..

" come on girls...let's go...I think it's time I spend my time in the company of..normal people. " he said with a smile..to which all the ghouls just smiled and nodded back..and soon they were leaving the premises...

" yeah...uh well..,,,good riddance !! " Amber yelled..

" Miss Amber and amanda " they both heard a voice call out to them from behind,

" have you two seen this place it's a mess ! " they both turned around to see one of the maids, dragging poochie along who was still groaning from hitting his head,.. " Look at what he had done to the house..you know your parent's say to keep him out hear when they aren't home.." she said as took notice of the ghouls leaving...she then gasped when she was winnie among them..

" Ack !!..it's the possessed rug !! " she said before fainting hard onto the ground...


all the ghouls and wilbie turned to look at winnie...having seen her reaction to that,

" don't....even....ask...." she grumbled..as they left the premises..


" ghouls ? " Amanda said shaking here head as they both headed back inside...only to be rather shocked when they saw just much how damaged the house was indeed in...the crashed cart. the broken vases.....the muddy paw marks and claw marks poochie led through the house....an who knows what other damage that had been left..

" I uh....think we might not be allowed to go shopping for clothes this weekend...." Amber said....

the ghouls and wilbe were now making there way home. as wilbie was hoding Barbra in his hands..petting her..


" Hey.. I just want to thank you ghouls for coming to my rescue " wilbie said..

" well..we couldn't leave you at the hands of those two..theyre a nightmare I tell you. " winnie said

" yeah..but that also means your going to be on their list of those they'll try and humiliate.." Elsa informed..

" Hey don't worry...i think I was going to be on that list anyway. " he shrugged..he said with a chuckle..

" yeah and to think, they tried to make it seem like you were not wanting to be our friend.." Tanis said.

" but we didn't believe it.." Phantasma added

" .and it's crazy to think they tried to brainwash you..? that sounds worse then anything we imagined them doing to you. " Sibell said. " .just the thought of being like them...makes me shudder. "

" Yeah even someone like you can call out there taste in fashion disaster " winnie chuckled..
